While it has been widely ignored, the post Britpop / pre "The Libertines/The _____/garagey" band era was kind of a dark period in UK music. UK had just witness one of the greatest talent and musical explosions of all time in the early 90s but by the late 90s, those bands had all either broken up, started to suck or completely change their sound. During this time, bands found it hard to garner success, specially with the charts being dominated by the Spice Girls/Westlife/whatever. To put it into perspective, Stereophonics was considered one of the biggest acts from the UK [...]

For those amongst you that can remember uploading any fresh musical produce onto Myspace (amongst those that can still recall the now largely superfluous multimedia monstrosity that was and unfortunately still is at all) may well recollect one of many fabricated genres: Melodramatic Popular Song. Bash it into Google and you'll see Stars, and the stylistic categorisation can be applied too to London-based newcomers Red Kite . Equally as melodramatic as their Canadian counterparts, it's surely merely a matter of time (and not much of it) before Montreal, their first release to bob up to the surface of the [...]

Yesterday i saw the trailer for the new M. Night Shyamalan movie "Devil". Apparently it's a return to form for the Indian born director. After the classics of "Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable" there was the decent enough "Signs" but then in my opinion his features since then have pretty much been in a steady decline. None more so than his latest effort "The Last Airbender" which has also been panned by media and critics alike. But "Devil" definitely has the potential to be a resounding edge of the [...]
The Cooper Temple Clause - Let's Kill Music Wir bleiben weiterhin im 19.

The Safe Passage Clause Genre: Rock / Alternative / Progressive From: Seattle, Washington United States Like near namesakes The Cooper Temple Clause (they both contain the word clause which make them near namesakes in my book - and no that doesn't make them a near namesake of Santa - god how did I get into this argument?) Seattle's Safe Passage Clause are an unlikely yet increasingly [...]

I'm home at my parents' place for the summer, and there's a lot of random live crap floating around on my old computer, so look out for more concert recordings here in the coming weeks. To begin with, since they just broke up , here's The Cooper Temple Clause from the summer of '02. Can't remember where I got this from, but the sound quality is really good, and the set is almost entirely off their gargantuan debut album 'See This Through and Leave' (still unavailable in the U.S.). Both faces of that album are [...]
It's been another emotional rollercoaster week for me here at the TFD offices. Last night I thought I had finally made it through and I could get on with the weekend filled with Coachella goodness, and then I found out who the hilarious Jim Halpert from NBC's The Office is dating. Friggin' Renee Zellwegger. Are you kidding me? I know he's not a superstar but does he really have to be slumming it with her right now? C'mon... [...]

More sad news: UK-noise-rockers The Cooper Temple Clause have moved to Splitsville! After guitarist/bassist/vocalist Dan Fisher decided to leave the band, the rest of the guys agreed to call it a day as well and move on to other interests. The Coopers leave behind three strong albums with a bunch of modern rock classics... very sad news indeed! :( Read more on the official site: http://www.coopertempleclause. co.uk/ [...]
Make This Your Own üçüncü
As if it wasn't bad enough that the ones out of Razorlight that aren't the one people have heard of had travelled on one of the planes being given a once-over in case there were traces of polonium aboard, it now turns out that Cooper Temple Clause also had to pee into a bottle following a trip on BA. There are many mysteries surrounding the death of Litvinenko: who poisoned him? why? did he really convert to Islam the day before his death? But now, a far deeper mystery is opened up: [...]
We're not entirely sure we're buying that the rejected, Sin City style video for Cooper Temple Clause comeback single Homo Sapiens was "leaked" onto YouTube - if it was done under the counter, we doubt their PR company would be sending us emails telling us about it. Still, they're nice boys and it's a good video, so we're happy to pretend we're part of sticking it to the man by posting the link , rather than playing a role in a carefully-orchestrated web2.0 style media campaign. music cooper temple clause [...]
I've decided that I should hold out from daily posts as they'll be too short, where as I've I wait 2 or 3 days, the good stuff will build up. Yet even now, there's not so much going on. It's so boring. Eurovision winners Lordi are to market their own cola soft-drink . Rock on. Lily Allen is trying to break America . She hasn't gone down so well in Australia, though. Watch the [...]
