The Crystal Method , the Los Vegas-based, Grammy Award-winning electronic duo, have been forced to push back the release of their new studio album, and a number of upcoming tour dates have been canceled, as co-founder Scott Kirkland continues to recover from brain surgery. As Kirkland explained in a lengthy statement issued to fans, he began to experience painful headaches a few months. Miami area DJ Juan Carlos Portieles has been convicted of First Degree Murder in the death of is 18-year old girlfriend Jaclyn Torrealba, who he was charged with killing in October 2009. A Miami-Dade county jury has given Portieles, 33, a life sentence with no chance of parole for killing Torrealba and then driving around for a day with her body in the front seat of his car.
