The Dangerous Summer is an Indie / Rock band from Ellicott City, Maryland. The band formed in the summer of 2006 to write their first EP, There Is No Such Thing as Science, which drew the attention of Hopeless Records and other labels in 2007. They signed with Hopeless Records within 8 months (in April 2007) of starting the band during their senior year of high school. Hit The Lights will be touring this fall with support from Dangerous Summer . The Ohio-based band recently joined the roster of Razor & Tie . They recently finished recording their first new studio album in over four years with producers Machine (Four Year Strong, Armor For Sleep, Cobra Starship) and Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Crime in Stereo). The new album will be released in early 2012 and follows Skip School, Start Fights .

The Dangerous Summer and I Call Fives are kicking off a tour tonight in Jacksonville, FL. Click below for the dates. TDS released War Paint last month via Hopeless Records ; I Call Fives recently released a split 7-inch with Rust Belt Lights via Broken Rim Records .

Next month, The Dangerous Summer will celebrate the band's 5 year anniversary with an East Coast tour.

Hellogoodbye will head across the sea for a run through the UK next month with support from the Dangerous Summer and Gold Motel . Hellogoodbye released Would It Kill You? last year.

After dropping off their last scheduled show at School of Rock, The Dangerous Summer was finally back, bringing along The Scenic, The Graduate and Sparks The Rescue.

On March 15, The Dangerous Summer played a show The Studio at Webster Hall in New York, premiering a brand new song called "Everyone Left" and playing a cover of Bush 's "Glycerine". "Everyone Left" will be included on the band's forthcoming album, set to be released later this year, and is the same song that was demoed on the band's Tumblr back in October . The Dangerous Summer have announced a U.S. tour with Sparks The Rescue , The Graduate and The Scenic . The tour will kick off at The Studio at Webster Hall on Tuesday March 15th, Crocodile Rock on Thursday March 17th and School of Rock on Saturday March 19th.
