You've listened to new Bloc Party and the Verve records, right? You should have done this without fail. But I won't write reviews, there are too many of them.I received some submissions since I began writing here so I decided to choose one and introduce it to you. The Deer Tracks ' formers are David Lehnberg & Elin Lindfors, both children of the Swedish town of Gävle. They play northern light electronica. Key word here is northern: softness in vocals and arrangements, it reminds me Mum rather than M83 (as others say). Oh,but you should anticipate [...]

Heard this band from my inbox. From Sweden, here's The Deer Tracks with their debut offering called Aurora , out on Aug. 27th ( Despotz Records ). Soft pop girl/boy vocal twinkles backed my quirky drum machines. Fits on that mixtape with Air , M83 , maybe Air France . For a start, check out Yes This Is My Broken Shield . It grows to a great build, wait for it. Here's the video for Slow Collision .

The Deer Tracks is a Swedish electro band who, rightfully call their music Northern Lights Electronica. Their latest single "Slow collision" feels like a slow electronic stream of water, and whennever the two voices of David Lehnberg & Elin Lindfors meet the song becomes sheer perfection. Recently they released the video of their first single "slow collision " which I've included in the post as well as links to their website and some live performances in Swedish television. Slow Collision live Sex Fyra Live Web sites: [...]
As summer comes to an end... THE DOCKING STATION is gearing down in preperation for September. We'll be back full force in a bit, but in the mean time enjoy the new single by Swedish duo The Deer Tracks .

If I were to quit listening to, blogging about, and living for music today, I'm proud to say that I would, in fact, die happy, for today I have discovered what I consider to be the most perfect blend of sounds to have graced the many ears on this earth in years. Naturally, you'll have to excuse me if you don't completely share my idea of beauty and finesse in the way of sound, but for myself, and those of you who can fall in love with the sensitive magic of artists like Sigur Ros just as [...]

You know what... I really dislike the art I did for this "Around The World" series, it was kind of a joke at first but now its just lame. Oh well, lame art or not, here are some tasty jams from around the globe. Crash Overdrive hit me with a couple of tracks, an original and a remix, both of which are above-par. I'm a fan of comparing original tracks and remixes, it gives me some perspective as to how the artist thinks on their own and how they [...]

There are certain moments in life where friends show you parts of themselves you wish you hadn't seen, and usually in my case, there isn't a considerate "hey, by the way " conversation involved. I bring this up, because a few weeks ago while I was jumping around to Girl Talk, a friend of mine dropped by and walked into my room. When I saw him, I stopped and walked over to where he was, followed by his ushering me to sit down. Now, this is where things get awkward . By his facial expression, I was expecting a " hey, my [...]

The Deer Tracks are a band from Gavle, Sweden who are pointing out some starry-eyed electronic pop music that bring to mind winter wonderland snowfalls. They have a mouth keytar in the band too! (or whatever you call that thing that looks like a small keyboard that you blow into, see pic). The songs are very airy and organic, and incredibly catchy. The Deer Tracks now have a video for the track "Slow collision" : http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm ?fuseaction=vids.individual&vi deoid=41260615 I'm still not blown away by their album "Aurora" , but they were definitely one of the best acts I saw at Hultsfred.

The Deer Tracks is David Lehnberg & Elin Lindfors, both children of the Swedish town of Gävle. The duo plays some sweet electro-harmonies with very unique sounds. They released their debut album Aurora digitally earlier this month on iTunes and you'll be able to get the CD and LP (300 copies limited Vinyl issue) starting today (Aug 25) on DoShop . Sometimes things grab my limited attention span immediately...such was the case this morning with The Deer Tracks .The debut offering from this Swedish electronica duo, Aurora , will be released on 27th August. I reckon it's another import that we will embrace here in the UK. It's light and fluffy but very addictive listening. There is a certain ambiance about Scandinavian electronic music that does not seem to be replicated anywhere else in the world. Maybe it's the vocal delivery in the Swedish accent that lends itself so well to this genre of music? Below is a little [...]

The Deer Tracks is a Swedish duo consisting of David Lehnberg and Elin Lindfors , both from a town called Gävle. Their debut album "Aurora" is released this month on Despotz records , and it's one of the album I'm listening most to at the moment. Their music is electronic, dreamy and experimental (but in a "friendly to the ear" kind of way), and the wonderful melodies, the hushed, almost fragile vocals and the calm, organic atmosphere makes this a really good album to listen to. They never rush, and [...]

This track is all about the wordless refrain. It sucks you in on the first listen, at least that's the way it worked on me when I heard it live. The persistence of the melody burrows it deep inside my skull, though none of the transmutations every match the quiet beauty of the solo voice. On the other hand, the majesty of the full band carrying the line at the song's peak is quite powerful as well. Finally, David Lehnberg has achieved the epic sound he's been searching for! Ariel Kill Him came close, but was [...]
