The remix EP features a collection of seven reworked tracks from the bands album and is set for release on November 22 via Atlantic Records. Earlier this year, Death Cab for Cutie released Codes and Keys , the band's seventh studio album. Six months following the release, Atlantic Records is planning on releasing a remixed EP for Codes and Keys . Cut Copy just remixed the latest Death Cab For Cutie single. I was a little skeptical about it, but it's not bad at all. I've never heard the original track, but I think it's clear that the Cut Copy boys really transformed it into something else.
I was a little hesitant at first. Cut Copy haven't been producing the most exciting music lately and Death Cab 's music can be pretty boring at times. In this case, the two borings must have canceled themselves out to create an awesome! Ok so it's still not the most exciting thing out there but it does sound like one of the more chill tracks off In Ghost Colors . I went ahead and picked it up at beatport . You should too. It goes great with fall weather.
One of the good tracks for today was delivered thanks to Cut Copy - they have remixed alternative rock group Death Cab For Cutie's single "Doors Unlocked And Open". The song is taken from band's seventh studio album "Codes And Keys" and the remix is out today on iTunes.
