![[NXNE] The Dress Whites Live at The Rivoli- June 18, 2011](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3545220_lg.jpg)
by teepoo First up on my last night at the Rivoli was The Dress Whites. Their keyboard player apparently couldn't make it so they replaced him with a can of soup. Quite literally, it was even mic'd up as you can see in the photos, and it had a beer. Right off the bat you could tell these guys were fun, and it came through on their live set. Gallery after the jump [...]

It's been a little while since I've put up one of these giveaways, but thankfully the Dress Whites have given me the chance to change that! The Dress Whites have been on hiatus since the fall, and they've taken the time to write and record new material. The band's got a couple recent discs under their belt: 2008's album My God, The Shame , and last year's The No Fun EP. They've got a show coming up at the Piston a very new venue in the former [...]
Hey, I'm just running off to work so I don't have the time to put up anything overly worthwhile at the moment, but if you're from the Toronto area and you haven't already been faithfully listening to the Zygiella podcast , then you're missing out on one of the good ones. The last time that I saw The Craft Economy was back in December when I was incredibly enthused about checking out Amos The Transparent and the excitement from having seen them must have overshadowed any [...]

That being the case, where does My God, the Shame , the latest album from The Dress Whites fit? Oddly enough I'm finding it to be a bit of each-a sort of sonic chameleon, if you will, as every time I spin the Toronto-by-way-of-Montreal band's newest release it hits me in a different fashion. Upon first listen it's easy to be drawn in by the [...]
