![[Mixtape] Julian Malone – Enemy: The Time & Loves of Malone](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052662_lg.jpg)
We're proud to release Enemy , the new mixtape from Chicago's Julian Malone . Julian popped on our radar last spring as a part of the #2008ighties crew. Enemy represents his best work to day, and identifies Julian as one of Chicago's up and comers. The mixtape is a testament to Malone's real life struggles and in this essentially entirely self executed project he portrays those situations soundly throughout the entire 19 track creation. Let this one marinate. Download the mixtape below, and look for Julian at our [...]
Hey Enemy are simple men with simple pleasures. One of these pleasures is creating twisted, inventive, bluesy post-punk and performing it across Europe. Hailing from Central Scotland, they have done so with the same line-up since forming in 2005. To date, musical comparisons have included Jesus Lizard, Mclusky, The Birthday Party, Hot Snakes, Queens of [...]
It's hard for friends to understand when I try explaining to them this absolute nausea I feel about New Year's Eve. I go out, I appreciate being around the friends... I'm happy enjoying the moment with them, yet in the back of my mind is a swelling sadness, a wave so huge that by the [...]
Click here to view the embedded video. You've got plenty of good options for Columbus shows on Saturday night. Here's some facts about one of 'em: Ex- Beetkeeper / Burn Barrel frontman J.P. Olsen 's Malefactors of Great Wealth come back to Rumba backed again by a full band that's almost the Madison Square Gardeners , except Chris Morrissey (Ben Kweller, Andrew Bird, Mason Jennings) is on bass and Mark Stepro switches from bass to drums (as he often does). Olsen [...]
Emotions are mixed as they always are when leaving one place behind to face something completely unknown but I'm a major advocate for change and more-so pro anti-regrets

Trying to find new music from Mumford & Sons is pretty near impossible at the moment. Since their successful debut Sigh No More the band have kept quiet in regards to any new album, but it is rumoured they have started recording the sophomore album but just no solid details yet. They have played a new song 'Ghost That We Knew' live several times but that has been pretty much it. Now there is another song that has surfaced titled 'The Enemy' which will be featured on Andrea Arnold's 2011 film adaptation of Emily Bronte's [...]

Download: Greg Enemy- Xtra Small Really digging what I'm hearing so far from this up-and-coming rapper. Loads of smooth, jazzy beats and thought-provoking lyricism. He's got a relaxed delivery as well that reminds me of Shabazz Palaces here and there. A good listen so far. Download link above. Check out the dude's site here , read an interview here , and scope the cover art below:

Conversations with Enemies are recording a new release that is schedule to be out this spring. The upcoming concept album will once again be accompanied by a comic book. "How To Make Enemies" begins with "Planet Of The Apes", a typical Screeching Weasel sound that yet has intense arrangements all around it. For example, the bass line present on the song is always present, but has a stepped-style sound to it that shows a cognizance of where Danny was in relation to the band. [...]
![Greg Enemy – Xtra Small [INTERVIEW]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3774892_lg.jpg)
They say much of a person's creative process comes after prolonged periods of boredom. In that case, it's probably a good thing that rapper Greg Enemy worked for "three miserable years" behind a desk in the Kansas City Police Department, according to another interview , before he returned to the music scene. I came across Enemy's Sophisticated Goon Shit while perusing Street Etiquette and was immediately struck by not only the video but the way Enemy rhymed: minimalistic, yet self-assured with a bit of unintentional genius. From [...]

Monsters Build Mean Robots - We Should Have Destroyed Our Generals Not Their Enemies By Christopher Elliott Brighton's Monsters Build Mean Robots ' debut EP was billed to me prior to this review as 'Post rock', and immediately I know what you're thinking this copy will look like. Something like "blah, blah, epic, blah, blah, Sigur Ros, BLAH BLAH Explosions In The bloody Sky", right?
