Das Neuseeland ein sehr schönes Land ist, wissen wir spätestens alle seit dem Herr der Ringe. Das Neuseeland eine der höchsten Selbstmordraten unter Jugendlichen hat, ist auch bekannt. Das es deshalb viele melancholische jungen Menschen in Neuseeland geben muß, ist somit auch sehr wahrscheinlich. Das landschaftliche Größe und Erhabenheit häufig das musikalische Empfinden und die Ausdrucksform stimuliert, wissen wir spätestens seit Sigur Ros auch. Dass es auch außerhalb von Europa und Nordamerika gute Indiebands gibt, ist mittlerweile nicht mehr von der Hand zu weisen. So machte mich u.a. Morten vor einiger Zeit auf das neuseeländische Quartett The Enright House aufmerksam, deren Musik eindeutig Shoegaze-Einflüsse aufweist, aber generell Freunde der atmosphärischen Klänge à la Sigur Ros zusagen dürfte. We posted about the New Zealand band The Enright House back in May with the songs "Solitaire" and "Darkwave = MC-squared" and since haven't heard much from them. Turns out their debut record A Maze and Amazement will be released October 1st and they just came out with a video for the latter.
