On April 10th, Baltimore electro-rap kingpin Spank Rock will release a four-song remix EP of cuts from his latest LP, Everything Is Boring and Everyone Is a Fucking Liar . Include is the Shabazz Palaces remix/total overhaul of "Car Song" , which features Santigold. What was once a feel-good explosion of Charm City bump has been reconfigured into something decidedly Shabazz-esque, with jarring, disheartening blasts of wobbly bass and vocals that sound like angered cries of help from a bomb shelter.
