Composed by the American-Chilean minimalist DJ/producer Nicolas Jaar , this adventurous mix spans across a wide range of the musical spectrum. Really nice track that TOKiMONSTA made a while back with vocalist Rucyl that they both 'decided that this track would be great to share', and you can even download it here . The Pitchfork Music Festival returns to Chicago's Union Park from July 13-15th. This year's bill is topped by Vampire Weekend, Feist, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and they'll be joined by Hot Chip, ASAP Rocky, araabMUZIK, Kendrick Lamar, Cloud Nothings, Litury, Grimes, The Field, Willis Earl Beal, Tim Hecker, and 30 other as yet unannounced acts. Battles have a four part remix vinyl series coming out at the moment featuring remixes of songs from Gloss Drop by The Field, Gui Boratto, Alchemist and Kode9. I really like the Shabazz Palaces one above a lot. Ishmael Butler's voice suits Battles' sense of mechanical instrumentation quite well. Listen to The Field & Gui Boratto remixes below. IGen 20/20 Night Vision field test A sorta quick video demonstrating the capabilities of the IGen 20/20 night vision monocular by Night Owl. This scope differs from standard night vision devices in that it uses optics and video processing and video can be recorded from the unit via a standard video cable. This test was performed on a moonless night and the unit was not stabilized. Apes & Horses are a 4-piece band out of Paris, France. Right now the band is somewhat of a mystery and a little bit undercover (See Picture Above). I did find a couple of videos online that had me gasping in excitement. The first video is for a song titled 'The Fields' and it was performed live in Paris while they were supporting WU LYF on tour.
