Think of your favorite "heart felt" movie and remember the music in contained. Whether is is a "running for a reason" scene, or a "someone thinks about the past" scene, The Flying Change will probably remind you of said film. With the release of the gorgeous, new record from The Flying Change only two weeks away, we thought we'd hit you with one of the promotional videos that frontman Sam Jacobs has put together with the help of visual artist Monte. Jacobs has always felt that music videos tend to be too long. He's trying to keep viewers interest piqued with 40 second vignettes, instead 4 minute films. I get close to 50 emails everyday from promo folks offering up new music. It takes a huge amount of time to go through these emails properly (download tracks, listen to tracks, read promo info about the band etc. ec.). I am thankful to get these emails since they expose me to new music but I just wish I could find a better way to manage them. And I wish I had the time to properly post about each one individually. Friends. There is a show coming. It's the record release show for The Flying Change . It will be wonderful. It will be the biggest show they've have ever played. It's at Drom on Friday, April 17th at 7pm. They'll be playing with Amber Rubarth and Paul Brill. There will be jugglers, people on stilts, comedians, contortionists, handclaps, and other good tidings. You can even meet Sam Jacobs' parents. Sounds like a winner of a night.
