The music on "Once" is written and performed by Glen Hansard (of The Frames) and Marketa Irglova (of I don't know). In some ways the sorta duo remind me of Damien Rice & Lisa Hannigan. Forget bands with wintery-climate-and-primate-so unding names. I say one of the best bands from the Emerald Isle is The Frames. I first saw these guys about three years ago in Beijing, when The Frames took part in some China-Ireland cultural exchange. Who knew a band this good could exist under my radar since 1990? I was 8 years old when Ireland's The Frames picked up instruments as a group.
