While visiting Houston on their ongoing tour with Rise Against and Hot Water Music , Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon visited local radio station The Buzz 94.5 to perform three acoustic tracks. Brian performed 45 from Handwritten , "Navesink Banks" from Sink or Swim and wraps up with another Pearl Jam cover, of No Code 's "Smile."

The Gaslight Anthem have been influenced quite a bit by fellow Jerseyan Bruce Springsteen , from the style of music they play to where they play it at . Now, they're even taking The Boss' lead when it comes to surprise guests. Just two weeks after Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder appeared during Springsteen and co.'s shows at Wrigley Field, he was on stage with The Gaslight Anthem at Pensacola Beach, FL's DeLuna Fest. Together, they performed Pearl Jam's "State of Love and Trust", and you can catch the fan footage below.
Houston punks had two choices last night: Rise Against and the Gaslight Anthem, with Hot Water Music at Bayou Music Center -- still getting used to that name -- or OFF! and Negative Approach at ... If it had been any other lineup, I probably wouldn't have attended Chicago's Riot Fest 2012 - simply because of its location(s). For one, I loathe the Congress Theater. I'll never forget how their bathrooms look like set pieces from Seven or Saw , or how they let Man Man sound piss poor that one time, or when they closed coat check during a bitter cold New Year's Eve party. The latter which resulted in yours truly getting heat sores all over his chest, all from having to wear a leather jacket on the dance [...]

The Gaslight Anthem just kicked off a huge international tour in Canada last week and as mentioned, it hits NYC on November 28 and 29 at Terminal 5 . Both of those shows are sold out but the band just added a third date happening at Terminal 5 on November 30 . Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (9/21) at noon. Still no openers have been announced for any of the three T5 shows. An updated list of dates and the video [...]

Though Handwritten wasn't released that long ago, The Gaslight Anthem is already ready to begin working on the follow up. Vocalist Brian Fallon posted an update as they embarked on their tour with Hot Water Music supporting Rise Against : If you told my eighteen year old self that one day I'd be on tour with Hot Water Music, well, let's just say you couldn't contain me. This is awesome… and I've got a deep fondness for Rise Against's Tim [McIlrath], he's [...]
The Waning Days of Summer (2012) from gtimusic on 8tracks Radio . Well, here we are. Kids are going back to school, and the weather has turned into a muggy, hot mess. The days are getting shorter and summer is clearly on its way out. GTI's Sad Songs for Summer mix was the most successful mix we've done on 8tracks, and The Waning Days of Summer is even better! Boom! In all seriousness, I really dig this mix. Like all my 8tracks mixes, it includes [...]
The last day of a festival is always a difficult affair. The joints are stiff, the hangovers are ringing ever louder in your head and the thought of your clean bed, a shower and the comforts of home are fresh in your mind and ever so tempting. But onwards I say! The bands at Reading 2012 continue, the festival continues to its climax and the acts that played the Sunday were enough to get anyone (including myself) off their arses. One band sure to shake the life back into you [...]

This is a couple weeks old, but I forgot about it. Brian Fallon , frontman of Jersey favorites Gaslight Anthem , paid a visit to a Dutch television program while over there for the Lowlands Festival and performed an acoustic set for fans. You'll have to do a little work and skip to 8:30 on the video below, unless you're a Gaslight fan. Fallon performs the Brand New track "Sowing Season". He says before playing not to blame him if you don't like the song. He should be slapped for such a ridiculous statement.

Filed under: News Wikipedia That old adage about fire and gasoline not mixing proved true this morning, as Gallows and Alexisonfire singer-guitarist Wade MacNeil and Gaslight Anthem leader Brian Fallon engaged in a war of words via Twitter. "Recently found out that @brianmfallon hates my old band," MacNeil -- referring to Alexisonfire -- tweeted earlier today. "Luckily @VICE summarized what I think of his." [...]

After a lack of new music, and the time to find it... You know what? No, I'm not using that excuse. Life is busy at the moment, but we are the decisions we make. I've chosen to spend more time on the Get Your Melancholy On Facebook Page , which is more easily updated, and a more immediate reflection of my moods - but a shallower one. Here, here is where I open my heart and my head when songs truly get to me. And today, one did. I've posted about [...]

In the wake of summer slowly but surely coming to an end, I've been forced to find that certain album that defines my summer. Y'know, that summer soundtrack. Or, at the very least, an album that I actually want to listen to. My bitter soon-to-be-student-again self has now been handed the task of reviewing The Gaslight Anthem's Handwritten , New Brunswick (*cough*New Jersey*cough*) punk indie rockers' fourth full-length. Wait - fourth? These guys have four albums out already? Surely they've run out of steam! Sorry to burst your skeptical bubble, my imaginary friend - but it doesn't seem like [...]
The Gaslight Anthem goes for gold in attempting screamo's youthful sensibilities while maintaining Heartland's seriousness. However, they're more likely to find themselves lying disappointed on the mat than on the medal stand. [...]

The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten By Alex Ward It seemed inevitable from the first moment we heard them that The Gaslight Anthem were to be the next big rock band out there. Their previous records Sink or Swim, The 59 Sound and American Slang were all critically acclaimed. However, when Brian Fallon, the lead singer of the group, announced the release of a new album he made sure people knew the group were looking for a new sound. From the moment you press [...]
