The album's first single "Regent's Court", which is streaming below is a nice mix of the band's early energetic sound and what appears to be a more experimental and synthesized future.

He said, "None of us had written music together since 2003, so we thought it would be fun to at least attempt to write some music together. We [...]

The Get Up Kids have posted the first new track from their comeback full length, which sonically follows in the foot steps of the Simple Science EP that they released this past summer. Their sound has matured a bit, but it's not a huge departure, which should please long time fans of the band. Stereogum has posted an interview with the band discussing the progress of the new record and if there is any bad blood with fellow prehistoric-emo favorites the Promise Ring. Gran parte [...]

Anyone who knows me knows that there are 2 things that I focus on in life: Fashion and music. Well, music and occasionally Project Runway . Recently during London's Fashion Week, a memorial service was held at St. Paul's cathedral to commemorate the life of Alexander McQueen who died earlier this year. Björk was in attendance and even performed a special song. In case you weren't aware(and why would you be), McQueen designed multiple dresses for Björk over the years including the dress/make-up she wore on the cover of Homogenic [...]

Well hello there commoners. We at Backseat Sandbar have not been around to posting our Forecastle 2010 Day 3 recap since we've been out yachting 'round the world. So much scenery to take in, and let me tell you the one thing we learned from yachting around this globe of ours. There is a lot of water. There you go, a lesson you can live by. But seriously folks... None of that ever happened. I've just been a lazy office worker that can't post at work. So there. But, also, so here! [...]
I cannot believe this band is "unsigned" and has been allowed to remain "unsigned". Oh No! Yoko is this other Canadian band that I am really liking at the moment. I really need to check out the Vancouver scene, seriously. Really upbeat fast drums, pop-py Death Cab-esque vocals and Everett Morris plays his guitar strapped really high like Yannis from Foals , occassionally switching to the keyboards, VERY GET UP KIDS, just less emo. 90s Kids is such an awesome song, its impossible not to smile at the [...]

Here are 10 great albums that fell below the mainstream rock radar and are more than deserving of some more air time.
