WVUM 90.5 FM's Executive Board is a group of handpicked individuals that have committed to care for and maintain the station, to make sure it never goes in the wrong direction and sounds great at all times. We're also a friendly family cult made up of really smart and eccentric kids. Our jobs vary as do our ages, interests, and backgrounds but for some reason we all get along. I've been at that station for years now and I've seen General Managers come and go, Amber has been one of my favorites (although she's also like my annoying little sister... [...]

Zetto is a producer out of LA, that we think has a bright future in the EDM scene. I like his sound a lot, I think it is kinda laid back house that is great for almost any situation, I was just studying to it, but it could get the party going at the same time. See what you think of this great new artist.

modcloth : What a spectacle! Loving the artwork of San Francisco graphic designer and illustrator Anna Hurley . A must-follow on Tumblr!
In general, if your band name is within a few consonants from a very well known and respected Sarah Records flagship act then you're on everyone's shit list, I already did a poll. But Field Mouse get a pass because they are absolutely stellar at crafting melodic, minty-fresh dream pop and writing killer chord progressions. So when I first heard the Brooklyn quartet's single "Glass" I forgot all about bands reviving the 90s and kept thinking about how much better this band is going to get after a few tours and some EP releases. Such [...]

If 2011 wasn't quite Johnny Jewel's year, then 2012 will be. I can't think of a harder working person in the independent music industry. Johnny's "rejected" soundtrack for the sexiest film of 2011, DRIVE, is now released under the name Symmetry. Themes For An Imaginary Film bags up all evidence of pop elements and throws [...]

The Glass are back with another single from their At Swim Two Birds album. "Washed Up", produced by London's Jagz Kooner, is an indie-dance monster with live bass, guitars and building synths that paints a picture of the blank generation growing old with the world passing them by. The song was remixed by several outstanding [...]
Acid Glasses : Linen Wall From when we first wrote about him to the present day, Acid Glasses has given nothing but an indication of a Memphis-based musician who's having fun, with a tongue firmly in cheek. From the name to the extreme-trip-out videos to this new artwork, his appeal stems just as much from an interesting identity as it does from a certified style of experimental music. ' Linen Wall ' is everything you'd expect from the productive Nick Burk, with the [...]

Following the release of 'My Pale Garden' and 'Jpeg Hoarder' Memphis man Nick Burk, aka Acid Glasses , has revealed a new track. Available to download for free 'Linen Wall' is another weird pop concoction that sees creeping synths flare over chiming keys, ghostly vocals and ominous drum beats. Acid Glasses is currently readying another release for the Spring.

Acid Glasses - Jpeg Hoarder When I met mild-mannered Memphis garage rocker, Nick Burk (touring with friends in the awesome band Kruxe), he struck me as a pretty chill and lucid dude. However, behind the glowing edges of his bedroom laboratory, from the druggy late night witching hours to the hallucinogenic comedown dawn, he unleashes

Once two musical scallywags bombing their way around the East Village in spray-on jeans and worn out sneakers, The Glass are Dominique Keegan, Plant Music's co-founder and mascot, and Glen Brady (aka DJ Wool), who recently replanted himself in Berlin. The duo made their first ever release on Plant back in 2004 with the stunning "Won't Bother Me". They have released many singles since then, including the unforgettable summer smash "Wanna Be Dancin". Blogs [...]
Once two musical scallywags jaeger-bombing their way around the East Village in spray-on jeans and worn out sneakers, The Glass have refined their lifestyle and sound and have come up with their long awaited debut album - At Swim Two Birds. To get you in the perfect sweaty mood for the act, here is an exclusive dancefloor-filling Eli Escobar -remix of The Glass' longrun-hymn Wanna Be Dancing .

One of the influences listed on his website by Nick Burk (aka Ouija Allin), from Memphis, is "smoking weed" and you must say that it shows! The debut single 'My Pale Garden' is a mix of ideas – tricksy effects, changing speed, catchy chorus – all wrapped up in woozy, psychedelic distortion. It sounds like a mess on first play but the ideas are brilliant and, though it's a mindfuck, you get sucked up into its weird logic. 'JPEG Hoarder' is metronymic, minimal, Marc Bolan-ish rock'n'roll while 'Happy Accident' is cartoonish chamber pop that has a down-the-rabbithole [...]
Who doesn't love a little vocoder action? Whether it's on Big Boi 's "Shutterbug" or Stevie Wonder is fooling with one it adds a certain element that autotune never will-soul. That's the case with Full Crate's "Cherrie Hats" featuring crooner Chris Turner. Golden Glasses is a electronic, beats, funk leaning release that'll help push the 26-year-old further into the spotlight. The cat is from Amsterdam, so you know what he's on-vocal sampling and boom bap awesomeness. And, other substances I'm sure (not to put joints in his mouth or anything). I was just browsing one of [...]
