It's a busy week for The Glass . Their EP 'Couples Therapy' came out on Sept 25 on Plant Music and they began their short US tour (including a stop in SF for Lovefest) before they take off overseas. They bestowed on us a little present in the form 'Fourteen Again' remixed by one of my fav's, UFO! . He reworked it to start out in a drumline/Dr. Dre kinda way and sneaks in a synth here and bleep there until the song gains so much momentum it sounds like it's going to [...]
Wenn mir bei diesem ganzen gejaulten Post-Folk, der die amerikanische Szene fest im Griff zu haben scheint, und der auch immer wieder hier hineinschwappt, schummerig wird, flüchte ich einfach zu den Elektronikern. Elektronik gern auch ein bißchen härter spielen die Iren (jetzt NYC) von The Glass auf ihrem "Mad At You". Unlängst waren sie auf der Documenta (Kassel) und lieferten einem dezent zurückhaltenden Kunsthistorikerkreis reichlich Gesprächsstoff. Dass Tanzmusik auch jenseits der monoton dumpfen Basslinie funktioniert, stellen sie jetzt auch auf ihrem heute erscheinenden Album "Couples Therapy" unter Beweis.
