I listened to The Go Find's 2004 release Miami a lot at the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005. Dieter Sermeus, the man behind The Go Find returns this year with Stars on The Wall , an equally, if not more enjoyable follow up. Delicate pop songs are crafted around hints of electronic blips that are not obtrusive enough to warrant this release as an electronic record, but sufficient enough to distinguish it from your run of the [...]

MP3: THE GO FIND "Dictionary" ( Toolshed ) Frontman Dieter Sermeus construct mellow indie pop songs like this mid-Tempo tune that sounds a bit like a Postal Service outtake. The Go Find's latest CD Stars on the Wall lands in stores on April 24. See also: thegofind.com morrmusic.com tags: music | mp3 | indie [...]

The High Lamas, She's Spanish, I'm American, The Radio Dept, Jens Lekman, Klaxons, Tracey Thorn, Yoko Ono, Amy Winehouse, [...]

Welcome to another edition of the Listening Party, kids. Give a listen, offer insights via my newly-reinstalled Comments, and do your best to support the artists you like by seeing their live shows & buying their merch. This LP is all about pleasant surprises. (more...)

Is it ok to just review a record with one word? Wow. Morr Music consistently puts out great indie-tronica (like Styrofoam for example). Textures, handclaps, subtle instrumentation; that's the norm coming from this amazing label. So when I saw the new the Go Find record surface, it was hard to contain my excitement. Stars on the Wall marks a big step forward for the Go Find (aka Dieter Sermeus). Instead of writing his tracks alone, he let the band contribute early and often. [...]

Wow....The new Go Find album is Crazy addicting!! (Sorry for the late post btw.... Wonder Showzen party last night)...I find myself enjoying it more and more with every listen...and trust me I`ve listened to it a lot lately...Will probably be in my top 10 of 2007....Think Fleetwood Mac meets Death Cab / Postal Service , if that`s even possible....Sounds like a Fender Rhodes is used on a lot of the tracks, which is awesome...and its the perfect "Chill" album for that gloomy January day....even though the album doesn`t come out till [...]
In November, 2004, the Morr Music tour came to town with The Go Find , Styrofoam and Lali Puna. I don't think any of these bands have been close to America since, and I really feel that this was a special night. Even moreso in hindsight, considering I'm still listening to and enjoying the same records these guys were supporting then over 2 years later. While Styrofoam was the hot shit going in with Ben Gibbard, Andrew Kenny and other notables guesting on his latest album and Lali Puna was already fairly well established at that point, The Go [...]

mp3: What I Want Dear The Go Find, As a part of my break-up with Death Cab, I have also given up Ben's electro side project The Postal Service (although I do have a soft spot in my heart for that Feist remix). On the rebound, I have been listening to other electo-pop projects - Particularly those that are in someway related to the Notwist and those that reside on the German label Morr (it is very easy to be both of these things). [...]

Susanna & The Magical Orchestra Now, I don't have an XBOX. But I do have a Mac. So while everyone else is playing Halo on their television sets, apparently I have to play in front of my computer screen (which is an antique, by the way, she's about 10-12 years old.) I was never too big on Halo, but for some reason in the past two days I've just been playing my ass off. I think I'm just in one of those stages, though. I'll probably shove it aside [...]
