New discocentric Far Away remix from The Golden Filter . Here Comes A New Challenger! Oh shit! It’s a funk battle. Who is more disco?! The Golden Filter remix or the Hercules & Love Affair remix? I don’t know which song will win this disco remix battle but no matter which artist wins you know who really wins? That’s right Denzel Washington. Wait a minute, I mean, we all win. Cut Copy – [...]

The Golden Filter I promised myself some time ago to be less guided by what items are sent via gmail than what I originally planned on posting. Well it turns out that when the track is as good as this one is you set aside your ego and post what you think will make the folks smile. New York City's The Golden Filter are creating a stir with their ethereal vocals and indie electro rock. 'Solid Gold' is filled with blissful synths and punchy clap bass that is sure [...]

Mystery bands are something that we like to think of as more than just a gimmick. More often than not, they pay off in the end and for this cryptic group called The Golden Filter , we know that's the case. We're coming out and saying it: we KNOW who they are. We do. There's been lots of guesses since the group first popped up over the summer ( most are super humorous ) but we are sure of their identities. We're not going to say it, but just rest assured guys, [...]
Teaser video for the release of The Golden Filter single "Solid Gold" (will be released on February 16th) + their excellent discoish remix of the Cut Copy track "Far Away" (best track on "In Ghost Colours"). (Thanks to RCRD LBL ) Cut Copy - Far Away (The Golden Filter remix) (zShare)

Just got this one in the mail from NYC's the Golden Filter ...this appears on Cut Copy 's new, UK-only Far Away digital EP, alongside remixes by Hercules & Love Affair , Aeroplane , and others: mp3: cut copy :: far away (the golden filter remix) More from the Golden Filter : **************************

I know every other blog and music magazine does this, so I thought I'd obligingly contribute my 'best-tracks-of-20082 list too. I know what you're thinking - "but every track you post is blindingly brilliant Mike, how can you choose?!" - I know, I know, but I've spent the last month trapped in a tower in a Buddhist monastery in Tibet thinking this through, so I'm sticking with it and you best enjoy it! Before you ask, it's in no particular order. None of us would agree, it's really pointless and it would take at least another 6 months in the monastery. Feel [...]

The Golden Filter wishes to remain a mystery. While they have live shows in the UK with the big boys like Erol Alkan, Digitalism, LOTP to Hercules & Love Affair among many others, nobody really knows who and what is The Golden Filter . What we do know though is their music is one in a million. Whatever you wanna call them, nu-disco or disco fantasy, everyone is hooked. Not much music out there gets sexier then this, getting everybody hot and bothered. [...]

Aight folks, to those of y'all that came out on Tuesday and rocked out like the superstars you are, thanks. To those of you (from Dallas) that didn't, I have nothing to say to you. Except that you're wasting your time. And mine. And that you shouldn't feel welcome to listen to the following tracks. But I thought that was a given. Jeez. First up is a new demo from the Golden Filter called "Moonlight Fantasy." I didn't hop on the bandwagon when these kids first dropped "Solid Gold" 'cause I thought their whole mysterious shtick [...]

It's a miserable Sunday, so let's cheer ourselves up with a lap or two around the blogosphere, shall we? As usual, D-Luv's got the low down on the charts game across the pond. More specifically, he's discovered that Robyn is still putting out old music, Girls Aloud is preparing an epic second single release, and Beyoncé finally found a way to the top on her own . Raj of ElectroQueer has put up an incredible review of Darren Hayes ' much anticipated project, This [...]

Lately I've become really fascinated by the Australian take on disco and electropop, and I guess most of my fascination can be traced back to Cut Copy. Their album is stunning, and I maybe one of the best of 2008, and no matter what tracks I find myself listening to, I always return to In Ghost Colors. Damn Arms were nice enough to hit me up with a remix of Far Away that has been going crazy on the Hype Machine lately, and it's no coincidence. The remix is great and Cut Copy's already a bit [...]

The Golden Filter gözümüzün önünde hala flu bir güzellik. Veya tamamen bir göz yanılması... Acaba yakın zamanda debut live show' unu kanlı canlı seyredebilenler de şaşı-bak-şaşır mıdır? Forum açasım, repleri göresim geliyor. Avrupayı dört nala turlayan bu şaibeli prodüksiyonun dumanı üstünde, Glass Candy aromalı, Fan Death parçacıklı yepyeni şarkısı yine güneşin bol UVli ışınlarını gözümüzün yanıklarını gönlümüzde merhemleyecek güzellikte, buyrun burdan yakın.. The Golden Filter - Moonlight Fantasy
The Golden Filter - Moonlight Fantasy (demo) [mp3 zSHARE] The Golden Filter is a new nu disco act and probably the best thingis this style since the Chromatics. This version of the Moonlight Fantasy is a demo only, but it's...

It wasn't so long ago that we were going all nuts for the mysterious Golden Filter's "Solid Gold" - well the nu-disco band is back with another solid gold mp3, "Moonlight Fantasy." This time around were treated with something a little more breathy and a little more of a disco electro vibe. The total sum is another fucking brilliant track: The Golden Filter - "Moonlight Fantasy" (demo) "Solid Gold" is going to be released in 2009 with a bunch of remixes. Look for the Golden Filter's [...]

Happy Days! Remember Solid Gold ? We just got this in our inbox. We loved their last tune, and this one makes no exception. Obviusly not a dance floor track, but hey, listen to the arrangement and the sounds of the synthesizers on top of the deep pumping base drum. Enjoy! Now we just have to figure out the identity of the ones involved...Clues, anyone? Anyhow, I think he choice of sound image is very intresting and I'll now spend sleepless hours trying to figure out who'll make remixes and what they'll sound like. Enjoy! [...]

I was out a bit late earlier this year when The Golden Filter dropped their amazing disco bombs on every respectable blog around, and ever since I've been waiting for some new sounds to fill my ears. Solid Gold still has some of the best hooks I've heard this year, and it seems, that every time I play that track, I fall in love with it a little more. And the waiting time for something new to drop got a little sweeter today when The Golden Filter dropped a demo of the track Moonlight Fantasy [...]
