The Good Listeners have made three albums of good listening, but the Los Angeles duo — Clark Stiles and Nathan Khyber — have always been as much about the process as the product. Portland, OR band the Good Listeners took to making their third record, Don't Quit Your Daydream , on the road: 11 tracks in 12 cities over 24 days. Over the course of recording and playing with a different musician nearly every day, the band filmed a documentary about trying to make a living while pursuing their musical aspirations (watch the trailer here). It's one of those nights to rekindle old friendships. I caught The Good Listeners live back in February before I knew anything about them. I was in luck to find another great band. Over the course of the last 5 months I was able to get a hold of the album and love it. Its a simply beautiful album. Complete with ambient forest sounds of birds and wind... hence Crane Point Lodge. So once upon a time I tried to get this awesome club night called " Indie Schmindie! " off the ground. We found a home at Little Pedro's downtown.
