Aaron Sorkin gave the commencement speech to Syracuse University's graduating class of 2012. Sorkin giving life advice to fellow members of the Cuse? Obviously, this was going to get posted as soon as it was available on Youtube. Sorkin has a knack for giving great advice and not sounding like a pretentious resident of Douchbagistan in the process. Still, my favorite part of the entire thing is his acknowledgement of failing a class his first year of college. As someone who was friends with many drama students at Syracuse, that historical sidenote had an [...]

On the latest episode of the former GOOD music artist Tony Williams' #Road2KoTF, he released footage and spoke about the first time Kanye played Jay-Z "Big Brother" during the Graduation sessions. It was in NYC and just about everyone was there (Big Sean, Joi Starr, A-Trak, Plain Pat, Mike Dean, etc..) during the studio session. This footage is just another piece of evidence towards the understanding of Kanye's community-esque vibe he creates in.
DB: Hello Gemini. When did you start producing and when did it click, become sorta 'heavyweight'? G: I started producing a few years ago, it became serious when I wrote 'Feel Stronger'... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
When we first brought Gemini's name to the site, the rhythmic mastermind had just released two amazing drum'n'bass songs and was headed in a promising direction; we're glad to say we told you so. The talented producer has hit a new high by reinventing his freshman sound. His newest EP, Graduation , is an irrefutable departure from his previous release that is noticeably deeper, darker, and downright dubstep. The EP's title track makes a practically flawless transition from the ethereal piano chords to speaker-punching beats; check out the music video below, which [...]

There are thousands of popular artists out there today making new singles all the time. With the increase of bedroom producers though, the ability to simply download a whole studio that you can use right on your lap has made original songs more scarce. Now it seems that you're finding tens of thousands of remixes by artists with more and more ludicrous names, leaving you wondering, "Transexual Viking Sword Bro- what???" This weekly segment will bring you the popular remixes and the never heard of "Transexual Viking Sword Brothers" remixes of a (common) artist's singles. From all these bedroom producers [...]

I just recently saw Gemini and his show definitely exceed my expectations. To be honest I wasn't entirely sure what to except, but he put on a great show that was heavier than I was anticipating. Now he has just released his latest EP, Graduation and it's good. It's got quite a bit of piano in it which gives it a bit of a different feel while being very cleanly produced. That being said, the EP is full of heavy bass drops and synth filled build ups so check it out. Purchase Link - HERE [...]
The New Music Video for Thomas Slinger's "Graduation" came out this week, and and so did the verdict. It's good. The Youtube comments are for the video are in and the top two at the moment of writing this article are "I wish my piano could make dubstep" and "why is gemini's music so proper? Any1?". The Video features Slinger himself playing the piano and a lovely girl going through some sort of emotional episode in the woods. The video emits a very opening feeling. Like when you don't sleep all night and get up very early for [...]

I caught wind of 17-year-old Matt McGhee while checking through our submissions and came across his latest track "Voyage". I must say, when I read he was 17 I expected a track from a kid who still needed a lot more touching up on style and production, but I was quite impressed once I got a listen to "Voyage". The production was smooth and featured chords and tones fit for his flow. While he's already got a decent rapping style, the only thing I'd say needs work is his writing but one can only assume it will definitely improve as [...]

This supposedly occurred at a Taiwanese high school. The principal clearly doesn't have the same swag as Robert Downey Jr., but he definitely has the most swag of any high school head master on the planet. Or, as one YouTube commenter shouted: "DESPITE ALL THE STRICT EDUCATION SHIT IN ASIA, THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAD EVER HAPPEN IN HISTORY OF EDUCATION! NOW AMERICAN TEACHERS, TAKE GOOD NOTES." Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Exclusive MCXL Photography Halfway through Alex Zhang Hungtai's -- known to most as the one-man band Dirty Beaches -- set, it appeared he'd created his very own genre of rock: amplifier and brimstone. With his electric guitar, a microphone whose effects gave his vocals a seedy, sinister tone and pedals to build one guitar loop over another, Dirty Beaches occasionally resembled a deranged preacher [...]
