Doom metal opuses are a quite rare breed. The main thing that I love about Chemikal Underground is the fact they aren't ones for doing things conventionally. Alongsode the recent addition of electro-pop wonder kid Miaoux Miaoux, they've also added Glasgow's riff-tastic, Holy Mountain to their rather eclectic family. With a mini-album already in the bag, the noisy three piece look set to tear a new one out of the Scottish music scene in 2012. Chris McVicker, aka Swiftumz seems to get compared with the current crop of lo-fi starry eyed bedroom popsters like Ariel Pink/John Maus/Stevie Moore .
