Wilderness är The Horror The Horrors tredje platta. Den [...]
Let's see: guy in a natty chicken suit awkward dating situation ill-advised dancing suggestion of inter-special romance If your video contains all of the above, there's a pretty good chance it's going to catch someone's attention over here at MOKB. Tapete Records has just released the new record from Swedish neo-new wavers, The Horror The Horror . Virtually unknown in the States, the danceable beats and effortless melodies that inundate Wilderness should be [...]
Here are The Wheel's Still In Spin's suggested new releases for this week. Delay Trees – Delay Trees. Download "Cassette 2012" (mp3). Download "About Brothers" (mp3). Delay Trees, a quartet from Finland, layer guitars and synths in a lush dreamscape of engaging pop music. Waves of elusive sounds gently ride these melodic songs. Joan of Arc – Life Like. Download "Love Life" (mp3). This intricately judicious album showcases a band doing what it does best with its core sound. Recorded with Steve Albini, the guitars, bass, and drums interlock with precision. [...]
Rain rain go away, come again another day. Before I delve into my usual ramblings, Who ever wants the rain to come again another day? Any farmers who read this blog need not prove me wrong... but I mean unless that saying was coined by a farmer, it doesn't make sense, the rain is always the pits and ruins my mood. [...]
Wahey, here's something new for you. Swedish band The Horror The Horror 's second album Wired Boy Child has been out for a couple of months now in Germany, and was released in Scandinavia mid-April. I'm having difficulty creating a "they sound like these bands" list - and it isn't because of the headache - rather, every time I think I figure out which band they sorta sound like, they change things a bit and sound a little different. So I'll just stick to describing their sound: smooth, good indie rock'n'roll. Ah, I've [...]
Just two today, but they're both Swedish and they're both killer . The Horror The Horror, "Ipanema" - I suppose ten months into the year is as good a point as any to start waking up to all the great music I passed over earlier in the year, although I'd probably be a few weeks off from properly pondering that supposition if it hadn't been for the timely and world-consuming re-emergence of the self-titled debut album by Sweden's The Horror The Horror . It isn't even that I'd had the album on ignore [...]
Next to England, Sweden produces more English spoken indie rock than any other country. Here are some new Swedish Indie rock that would kick most of the American band's asses. Friska Viljor - Gold (be their myspace friend here ) (think Shins, Strokes...) Movements - Being (be their myspace friends here ) (think u2 or interpol or something) The Domus - While on your way (their site here ) (think Postal Service, Notwist) Horror the Horror - [...]
These are the top 30 songs of 2006 (so far) for Lunapark6 with a rather interesting requirement: the songs are freely available for dowload - legally. Only reason for this requirement & this list, is to let people that may not be familiar with these acts check out their material. If this list didn't have [...]

The Horror The Horror are seriously your new favorite band. The Stockholm group's self-titled debut contains all the influences of the New York/dance-rock resurgence --- there are shades of Strokes, Franz and Interpol all over this record, except while those bands seem to have lost their focus in the last couple years, THTH know exactly what they're doing. And listen to The Who and Crooked Rain Crooked Rain a lot. I figure, we got at least a month until the backlash kicks in so get on the hype train now. [...]
