We've had our ears turned to Fossil Collective for a while now, so we were very pleased to hear that their debut EP is set for release this coming June. Essentially a duo, Jonny Hooker and David Fendick are two multi-instrumentalists who are joined by three other members for the bands live shows. Watching Yuna 's career unfold is going to be interesting. When we first heard her, it was a soft, gentle, acoustic sound, but somewhere along the line she picked up attention from Pharrell who's now working closely with Yuna now. It's obvious from listening to this Skateboard P-produced cut that he's had an influence on her sound, but it's not an overwhelming takeover of her own unique style. So when I saw the press release for Rich Aucoin 's forthcoming We're All Dying To Live using the term "sonic alchemy" to articulate Aucoin's sound, I knew I had to use it for myself.
