The Kinks: Chapter 3. Kinda Kinks was a hurried and ultimately weak album.
The Kinks: Chapter 2. The Kinks' second album was only released in the United States.
From the Scorpions comes a clever and entertaining new album.

Sneaky Sound System let slip an album in the late-late quarter of 2011 titled 'From Here To Anywhere'. The euphoric single "Really Want To See You Again" has not gotten a freaky-groove makeover courtesy of Canadian house-lords Azari & III . From it's busty drums and Chi-town acid elements there's not much you can't enjoy and although only in preview mode im staking this will be a dancefloor burner for the early am house-nauts. There are some other jamsters on the EP with Funkagenda, Proxy and Kink getting silly but the A3 remix stands [...]

We like Sneaky Sound System 's new single. It mixes a sunny 80s synth disco feel with more of retro electro rhythms. And more importantly it's just a good pop song. Sneaky Sound System have a habit of getting strong remix support (favourites include Breakbot, Flight Facilities and more recently Oliver), and this release is no different. Azari & III have made an awesome deep, well Azari & III track and Bulgaria's biggest deep/tech house star, KiNK 's is just as awesome. Funkagenda's is decent, but decidedly inferior to the other two remixes, so I'll [...]
The Kinks: Chapter 1. A Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame band at the beginning of its career.

True to the Aussie duo's 802s and 902s influenced sound, Sneaky Sound System just released a collection of awesome remixes of their 2011 hit 'Really Want To See You Again.' Stream 'em and grab the original below! 'Really Want To See You Again' - Sneaky Sound System

It's all in the title for today's tidbits. It's a Monday, which means there are some new albums out. Of particular note is the Tribes debut album Baby on Island Records. We wrote about them a while ago ( here ) and if you like them then go buy the album ( here ). I'll be picking it up after work tomorrow, so if it's up to much there will probably some words written up here. As I said, though, [...]

I'm loving Rachel Row's latest song, "Follow The Step" - the solo line, the soaring background vocals, the impeccable production. There's a little bit of Feist in her sound, but the production takes it in an entirely different direction. She's been working as a songwriter and a producer for years, toured with various Bulgarian pop musicians and DJs, and acted in several musicals. Only now is she starting her solo career. She's been working with fellow Bulgarian DJ Kink since 2006, and they're currently working on her first full-length LP. I'm really surprised this song hasn't become bigger - it's [...]

KiNK has been working with Rachel Row for a while now on bits and pieces where she's sung on a few of his older tracks. Now he's helping get her solo career started by writing some tracks with her. One of which is Follow The Step. He's even done a melodic and choppy remix for it too...

All the best to all of you for 2012. And better things. Here's wishing you the bluest sky, And hoping something better comes tomorrow. Hoping all the verses rhyme, And the very best of choruses to Follow all the doubt and sadness. I know that better things are on the way. Here's hoping all the days ahead Won't be as bitter as the ones behind you. [...]

In all fairness, this is the first time I'd hear the name Burek. A record label started by Croatian producer, Pytzek. Though relatively young, the label has already garnered support from respectable names due to their debut release from 909/808 maestro, KiNK. Since then, Burek has clocked up another two releases, from Humandrone and Madcap respectively. The Japanese acid producer, Humandrone, has put forward an excellent sophomore for the label. Delivering a combination of organic drums and acid that isn't too face melting. A great recipe indeed. Surf Around is no doubt my pick of the bunch but [...]
