Like other virally minded artists before them, rock-leaning hip-hop duo the Knux are gearing up to drop a music video for each track on their new album, Eraser . Today, they're sharing their third yet, "Razorblade," a melodic stoner joint that feature visuals of the band acting a fool in Los Angeles. The rock-hip-hop hybrid practiced by the Knux just got a fresh airing on the band's second album Eraser , which was widely previewed by their Kid Cudi collaboration "Run." The Knux performed that track on David Letterman's show last night sans Cudi but with a whole bundle of energy to make up for his absence. It's definitely missing something without his contribution, but the infernally catchy nature of the track still shines through. On their debut, Remind Me in 3 Days , Los Angeles-via-New Orleans brothers Kentrell "Krispy" and Alvin "Joey" Lindsey (aka The Knux ) were, at their best, pleasantly reminiscent of Outkast. Their live instrumentation, willingness to experiment across genre borders into new territory (particularly funk and rock), and pure ability to blast party music came pretty close to some of the ATL-iens' better work.
