Album Review: The Leadership - Frontiers It was a few weeks ago that I first heard The Leadership's excellent debut Frontiers . I was scouring my iTunes library, submissions from bands/publicists and other music blogs to find new tunes for the Spring Mixtape when I somehow found myself on the band's bandcamp page. Jumping on The Leadership bandwagon I'm going to jump on the mini bandwagon for the Urbana based band The Leadership . The reasons are that they are semi-local for me (at least they're from Illinois), they play straight up rock with an edge, and they're not afraid to mess with convention. The Leadership - Frontiers Lp Straight out of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois comes a new talented band dubbed The Leadership. Their album Frontiers was written and recorded within a span of a couple of months in Jared Michael Park's basement with Jared and Jonathon Childers writing and performing just about everything. The Leadership is a new band out of Champaign featuring Jonathon Childers (of local Jon-A-Thon Childers fame) and Jared Michael Park (of Tall Tale) doing it all on just about every single aspect of the album.
