With sharp, slashing guitars and spirit animal soaring vocals, "The Cure For Shyness" is a bit of a different look for New York's Lightouts . The single leans heavy on some '90s riffage before diving headfirst into a neat solo that puts a bow on the whole affair.

Based out of Gowanus, the NYC neighborhood best known for its polluted canal (which helps keep the area's rents relatively affordable), Lightouts boast an appreciation for punchy tunes filled with power chords. Lightouts , the Gowanus-duo, dropped their 4th single (and first of 2012) curiously titled "The Cure For Shyness". This track features beautiful melodic rock, intertwined with Lightouts signature 90s punk motif. At first listen, you might hear the likes of Interpol's Paul Banks from the vocals.
