The Limousines have announced they will release their sophomore album, Hush, on June 6th. The new album was produced by the duo’s multi-instrumentalist Giovanni Giusti and was mastered by Karen Thompson. Hush is...

A little more worse for wear, Consequence of Sound saw the sun rise on Friday morning, signaling we'd made it through yet another day of South by Southwest . While our latest trip to this plentiful musical buffetsaw fewer big-name acts then Wednesday (sans the almighty Sound City Players, of course), the acts we did manage to catch proved to be just as entertaining and thought-provoking. Check out our full coverage, and be sure to check back in tomorrow for more of our madcap adventures. And if you don't hear from us again by 1 p.m. tomorrow, please call our [...]
![[PLAYLIST] The Best COVER SONGS of 2012](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4746635_lg.jpg)
Cover songs are still my favorite way for emerging bands to put their own sound on a hit song and get easy attention. However 2012 was for some reason a slow year for cover songs. Luckily a handful of bands did them well and left us with flipped and twisted takes on old classics and net hits alike. Here are my 10 favorites. What did I miss? Download the ZIP file ! NOTE: Some covers may have been released before 2012. The rules for my best of lists are [...]

The dread cloud of 'zany' hangs over La Shark. But get past that and you'll find an agreeably off-kilter clatter, reminiscent of Talking Heads and the Ze label Read more »

French band Limousine's splendid track "La Gaviota" gets this beautiful animated video, directed by Jerome Combe. The track is taken from their latest album, "II", out now on Ekler'o'shock.

The Limousines are going it alone. The San Jose-based electronic-indie duo of Eric Victorino and Giovanni Giusti have booted the record company execs from their neon stretch Lincoln and grabbed hold of the wheel, so that they may chart their own course through the music biz without anyone from a label breathing down their necks. The Limos are controlling every aspect of their musical careers now, front man Victorino explains, thanks in no small part to Kickstarter — the social networking site that helps artists, musicians and makers to go directly to their fans and crowdsource funding for a given project. Through their Kickstarter [...]

The Limousines are mad as hell...and they want your money.
If you’re more likely to jump around during a show than stand in the back trying to look cool, Alert New London wants you!

You won't ever see b3sci riding in a limousine. "Limousine" is the first single of Harlem rapper Ro Ransom's upcoming Ransomnia project. This is some serious heat right here. Brandun DeShay's beat is one of the freshest we've heard yet in 2012. The rhymes are 100% on point. We're stoked for Ransomnia . Ro Ransom ( Facebook ) Rating 8.4

For his debut single off of his upcoming Ransomnia, Ro Ransom links up with Mike Waxx & Mike Carson, providing an ill set of visuals for the Harlem native's "Limousine". The track is the very first that audiences get to hear from the album, but it comes after a steady push by the young artist, who had been dropping tracks weekly. I for one am very excited to hear Ransomnia and still can't get over the amount of talent coming out of New York these days, peep the video below.
RANSOMNIA coming soon. Directed by Mike Carson & Mike Waxx

Good things come in tens, not threes. At least that's the way I look at it. Yet, that statement makes this playlist title make even less since it's Vol. 1. and there are no others. Yes, we plan on making more. We wouldn't tease you with a Volume 1 and hold all of the rest back. That would be like Jay-Z coming out with In My Lifetime, then going dark on us. Not cool. We get it. We won't let you down. We'll start our Vol. 1 off strong. Our list holds up to its name too because [...]
If the lyrics to The Limousines' "The Future" don't get you thinking about...well, the future, the video sure will.
T he Limousines have developed a nice following over the years with their catchy as shit, synthy jams that contains all sorts of tongue in cheek lyrics. Brand new single, “The Future” continues this successful trend, and is a hit in the making. The duo got hold of a massive budget for this video, but did they really have to completely destroy (my favorite automobile of all time) the Delorean? I think it’s fair to say these boys are not too optimistic about the oncoming world. As I just finished the spectacular end of the world film Melancholia, pessimism toward the future, seems [...]
![[VIDEO PREMIERE] The Limousines: The Future](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4044512_lg.jpg)
The Limousines track 'The Future' is the stark meeting of Shoe-gaze synth-pop and the macabre. Their first hit 'The Internet Killed The Video Star' briefly hints at this darker side, but 'The Future' lets it all out. The dark imagines and lyrics oddly hide a very positive and simple zen like outlook on life. "I wanna laugh as many times as I can before I die/I wanna love, I wanna smile; I don't need much, I'm a simple child/I wanna laugh as many times as I can before I die/I wanna love, I wanna smile, just wanna [...]
