I wish I could say "I remember this", but I was 5 when the Loft was at its peak, and it would have been weird if a 5 year old was hanging out at the Loft. This was basically an "illegal" space, an actual guys loft named Jules, who housed hardcore shows. According to the wiki it was written about by Steven Blush, author of American Hardcore who described it as the "apex of the Baltimore (hardcore) scene" in 1983 and 1984.
