Ja, so muss das sein, angedunkelte Musik mit einer Prise Obskurität, viel 4AD-Flair und ausdrucksvoller weiblicher Gesangsstimme (oder, wie es an anderer Stelle steht: für Freunde von Blondie und den Cocteau Twins) – das sind The Lost Patrol aus New York. Vor langer Zeit stellte ich diese Band schon einmal im Blog vor ( HIER ) und inzwischen ist das neue Album «Dark matter» erschienen, aus dem auch die Single «Calling your own name» stammt, das von einem angenehm kränken Video begleitet wird. The Lost Patrol - Neue Songs Die ausgesprochen famose amerikanische Band The Lost Patrol , bekannt für ihre atmosphärische und gleichzeitig treibende Mischung von Wave meets Shoegaze meets Surfpop, hatte ich ja schon mehrfach in meinem Blog empfohlen , aber Gutes darf man ruhig mehrfach ins Rampenlicht zerren. Lost Patrol were a band from Windsor, Ontario in Canada. The band was born out of another band that was known as Fireball XL5. The band was put together by bass player Paul Langan. The rest of the band consisted of Bob Mitchie (drums), Dave Whitehead (guitar) and Karen Marrero on vocals. The Lost Patrol - wiedergefundene Freude am Wave Tja, nicht nur die Editors frönen dem rückblickenden Gitarrengezupfe mit Blick auf Cure & Co., sondern bekanntermaßen auch viele andere aktuelle Bands, insbesondere aus den USA. So beispielsweise auch The Lost Patrol aus Piermont.
