A little more than a year ago I wrote about the duo The Loveable Tulips and their collaboration with producer Jari Haapalainen. Now they've released a new three-track EP, "Streets", this time with Johan Eckerblad as the producer. And there is a different vibe to these songs, where they have changed the big rooms for a more intimate atmosphere and more from the sixties than from the eighties. Follow theom on their site or on Facebook . Listen more on Spotify . Here's the title song: Streets

It's a wonderful sunny Sunday here in London and only some Swedish pop can make it better. The Loveable Tulips are a female duo from Stockholm that love to sing about heartbreaks. Their music is both sad and happy, as it always is when it comes to love. Streets is the title track from their new EP and is about the time you start realising its time to move on, even if you love living in a dream. A bit downbeat but nevertheless too swedishly pop to pass by. Enjoy! [...]

Facebook / theloveabletulips.com/ It's my lunch-break at work and I'm doing something I rarely do, power-blog. I prefer to post in the comfort of my home surroundings and take my time over my ramblings (you probably wouldn't be able to guess that!) but there's something so instantly warming and dare I say it loveable about "Streets" by Swedish duo The Loveable Tulips that I couldn't resist a post from my desk. Propelled by a luxurious girl group sheen, the uplifting groovy melody is catchy and fun (if lyrically bittersweet) while [...]

Has stocking stuffing gone the way of the past? I used to walk into friends' homes and see a row of red and white stockings duct taped to the fireplace mantel (or central air conditioner if you lived in a place like Florida where fireplaces don't exist). A few years ago I started to notice their absence. J-Fur's family was one of the last that I remember still sticking with the tradition. Up until two or three years ago we were still doing it. Then the gifts became too big for the stockings and they too, like all those others, [...]

You kind of know what you're in for from a duo of girls who call themselves The Lovable Tulips — sweet, sunny pop would be the logical go-to. The nice thing about these Swedish gals, though, is that their brand of sweet sunny pop is smartly-crafted and often unpredictable — "pop music with a brain," as Music Snobbery succinctly puts it. Check out their first single below. With a big, Phil Spector-level of production and a title that's a good general reminder, it's as catchy as it is motivating. [...]

The duo The Loveable Tulips consists of Pia Påltoft and Pernilla Axerup. They have started a collaboration with the producer Jari Haapalainen and together they have forged a grand sound with choirs and tempting pop melodies as a foundation. If I would try to describe it I'd say that it feels like a mix of Bananarama , ABBA and Phil Spector with a small dose of Enya . Listen for yourself in a couple of tracks here below. You can find The Loveable Tulips on [...]

The Loveable Tulips are a pop duo out of Stockholm, Sweden. The band, made up of Pia Påltoft and Pernilla Axerup, recently teamed up with producer Jari Haapalainen known for his work with Ed Harcourt, as well as Camera Obscura and The Concretes. The result is "Fortune Favours the Brave", a catchy, driving pop song.
