Happy Halloween! Marshmallow Ghosts' self-titled, full-length debut may not have been the best album this year (review HERE ), but its spirit at catching the mood of Halloween has to be commended. Two minutes into 'The Attic', and you'd be forgiven for thinking that it's just another slow burning track that you'll most likely relegate to your recycle bin the second space on your hard drive is critical, but that slow build is worth it, as come the 2:30 mark the track descends into the depths of hell, which is fitting considering their name ( The Marshmallow Ghosts ), the title of the track ('The Attic') and the label it's released on (Graveface Records). I encountered a problem while recording this week's show-there seemed to be voices leaking into the recording. It's strange, because we don't live anywhere near radio towers, which is usually the cause of that kind of interference. What's also disconcerting, is that I'm not sure if I was hearing the voices coming from my headphones, or from somewhere else in the room.
