Three exclamation points worth of comedy on a Monday night? Three! My expectations for the night were high. I figured the chances of me laughing so hard that boogers would come flying out of my nose were very good. And why not, Snuff Box is comprised of dark comedy geniuses Matt Berry (The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh) and Rich Fulcher (The Mighty Boosh). Berry and Fulcher have been on the cutting edge of British comedy for years, often acting in secondary and tertiary roles that end up being scene stealers. Snuff Box, a BBC3 series from 2006, [...]
Toronto - It's been a month since English band The Horrors released Skying , their third full length release. After listening to it on a fairly consistent basis for the past few weeks, I can say that the album is freaking good and one of the better albums I have heard this year. It's invigorating to see a band like The Horrors transform themselves from a silly goth band known for being on the Mighty Boosh to a full blown rock act that has given us two exceptionally good albums in the past two years. The growth [...]
![[Introducing] – Tiger Love](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3483480_lg.jpg)
Tweet They may be coming soon to a big-time near you. Or they may be heading to the hospital with salmonella, if their latest video is anything to go by. Sooner or later, though, expect to be hearing more from London-based Tiger Love, a.k.a. New York-bred brothers Roy and Gigi, and drummer Loral. Take a look at that "Gio Gio" video again, and tell me you wouldn't believe me if I told you that Tiger Love were actually The Mighty Boosh feat. [...]

Last week saw London's Brixton Academy play host to the annual Shockwaves NME Awards. The show was presented by the perpetually dapper Jarvis Cocker and featured performances from Kasabian, The Specials, The Maccabees, Biffy Clyro and Marina & The Diamonds, The Big Pink and Lily Allen, Hole, and Paul Weller. Here's the full list of winners: Godlike Genius - Paul Weller Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution to Music - The Specials Best British Band - Muse Best International Band [...]

kasabian - vlad the impaler [kasabian's latest video stars noel fielding (the mighty boosh) as a serial impaler terrorizing the countryside. the washed out tone of the video is perfect and well, it does get bloody!] http://feeds.feedburner.com/Wo ngiesMusicWorld

It's the most wonderful time of the year! And since you've all been such good ghouls and boys, I'm handing out my biggest bag of treats yet. I've added to last year's Halloween mix, and it is now a lurching monster of 66 tracks. You can download the entire mix as a zip file at the bottom of the list. I will be attending my fair share of Halloweeny events this year (I already went to a book launch dressed as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, but that's a surreal story for another time), including a Neil [...]
Hop into my fancy space-time continuum zapper and zip ahead into unexplored regions where music and fashion meet: a magical aesthetic land through which we coquettishly zig and zag about the closets of UI's fave new interviewees to examine the physical and psychological baggage they pack their shizzle in. Today, we're poking our heads into The Mighty Boosh's decidedly overstuffed closets of fun. Old-school British comedians/cross-dressers/mushr oom 'do propagators/pirate-stache boosters/manicure fans/musicians extraordinaire, The Mighty Boosh are post-mod Renaissance Men. Unlike most entertainers wielding overstuffed resumes-they have a hit TV show on the BBC , a [...]
Admit it. You watch TV. Even if it's online, you know you've caught clips of the shows everyone's talking about. Whether you tuned into the Emmys, caught season premieres of "The Office" or "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," or Googled Kanye's little outburst at the VMAs, fall is a busy time for the small screen. In honor of the couch potato, we're rounding up the best of television in this installment of Six Degrees. This feature is inspired by none other than Mr. Kevin Bacon. You know the [...]

To be fair to Gordon Smart, you'd have to admit you did read it in Bizarre first that Noel Fielding was to be a team captain on Buzzcocks. And it turns out to be happening . Gordon could bask in the glory. If only, erm, he'd not announced that Noel had been axed as a team captain before the announcement was made.

It has been far too long since I've made a mix CD. Just so tough to find the time to do it these days. So I encourage each and every one of you with the time to do so to make a mix CD for yourself, your friends, that special someone, your pets, etc. Here are some of the snippets that I like to use to introduce my mix CDs, or break up the middle or end with a nice closer. The Mighty Boosh: Love Games [...]

Welcome back to Almost Famous, where we select one lucky Uncensored Interviewee who we deem to be on the verge of taking over the cultural zeitgeist in the coming months. This time around we're mixing it up a tad by spotlighting a pair of musicians more well-known for their comedic chops: The Mighty Boosh. Comedians Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt created the British series nearly a decade ago as a stage show and radio series. Their writing so taut and characters so wonky-crazed zookeepers, gay policemen, talking animals-the duo's series was picked [...]

[Photo Credit: Luke Thornton] Myspace // "New Skin of Mine" [Audio] We know that London outfit Spindle + Wit are active and gigging, but why does their Myspace page go untouched? Do they not want people finding out about them? Maybe they want to remain a secret, but really, that would be just a shame. It appears that the real action is taking place over at their blog , where you [...]
Yep, busy end to the week and headed West over the weekend with no mobile service for the most part, so apologies for the lack of content. Have a few bits for this week now that the wireless waves are hitting the PC again, but here's a great mix of music and comedy in the meantime. One of the best episodes of BBC quiz comedy Never Mind The Buzzcocks , featuring some gold from Simon Amstell, a poor excuse for a punk in Donny Tourette, and the ever [...]
