It makes me proud to put this one on the list. It's not homerism, but a legitimate endorsement of a really good record that just happens to be a product of Clevelanders. The Modern Electric could be from Topeka and I'd love this record. For what it is, essentially a really distilled bit of angst, it's about the best there was this year. Since all three of us are in Cleveland together this weekend, we decided to take a more local twist into things.
