Juno is about a girl. Juno MacGuff is a 16 year-old girl who attends Dancing Elk High School. She walks the halls to her own beat. Life is pretty ordinary for her until she gets pregnant, thanks to Paulie Bleeker. Juno tells her parents about her unexpected pregnancy and then has to make a decision. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to attend a free screening of the movie Juno in Washington DC. It is a quirky movie directed by Jason Reitman ( Thank You For Smoking ) about a 16 year-old girl who becomes pregnant [preview below]. Although, at times the humor felt a little forced, this was a very enjoyable movie to watch, that I highly recommend you go see when it releases in December. Sometimes when you watched a low key movie trailer and you just know you will enjoy it. No special effects, no kung-fu scenes, no raining bullets and explosives. Just plain dialogue-based-everyday-life moments and a few laughs here and there, easy-going type of movie. Juno , dubbed the " Little Miss Sunshine of this year," is one of those movies that I would really love to watch when it is released later this year.
