If you've paid attention to the last few releases from folks like Rockwell Knuckles, Tef Poe and Vandalyzm, you've already been initiated to the voice of the radiant Theresa Payne. [...]

We're switching things from our usual format today for the premiere of Ç86 , a brand spanking new compilation of bedroom-recorded music from across Japan. Chiba-based four piece möscow çlub conceived the comp as a celebration of coming of spring and the heterogenous universe of DIY production technique. The sixteen artists and bands yield a diverse array of styles and sounds, encompassing various branches of post-punk, tasty bits of house, and a rainbow-flavored assortment of sample pop and include both familiar names and new discoveries. To save you some googling, here's the list, complete with linkage: möscow [...]
What an incredible voice and an incredible talent. Things from Australia sometimes take their time to get here to the states, but the wait is sometimes really worth it. For instance; Melbourne's Mia Dyson. She's arriving on our shores with a fantastic record in tow: The Moment is a fantastic collection of soulful crooning best heard in slow [...]

Essex-based producer Lapalux AKA Stuart Howard, was recently inducted into the highly respected and on-trend Brainfeeder clan with his playful seven track EP "When You're Gone". Below is a track-by-track I've whipped up. Please excuse all of the visual wankery but this is one of my favourite releases to date so I really wanted to paint a picture for you - burn one down and wrap yourself up in Lapalux's "When You're Gone" EP. "102 Hours of introductions" An ubercalm, jazz tinted awakening with a whispering saxophone, shimmering keys, clattering chimes, the wheezing of a warped string [...]

![[Review/Listen] – Tall Tall Trees – "moment"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4081196_lg.jpg)
Tweet Tall Tall Trees' self-titled debut album was phenomenal. The NYC quartet seamlessly blended banjo-plunking bluegrass, moody folk, and driving indie rock into one ceaselessly interesting and fun album. It was part comedic lyricism, part experimental montage, part emotive ballad, and a song called "Shit." It had everything. "moment" matches this fun extroversion with equally powerful introversion and emotion. Tall Tall Trees creates music with no [...]

Download audio file (Fall-In-Love-Chopped-Screwed. mp3) I was hoping the cover would be complete in time for me to post this on Dilla's birthday. But, I'm glad that we waited a little bit because it allowed me listen to the songs a few more times, and make some last-minute tweaks. I've decided to theme my Rendezvous mixes this year in order to challenge myself and take them to the next level . It's February, so doing a tribute to one of my favorite producers and a true visionary was [...]

Here's some new music from young Kevin Abstract . Giggle gang or frown.
The latest music video from German-based artist Tua for this track "Moment" , which is off his EP Raus .

The new year always brings massive periods of reflection for me. Not only do we all start a new chapter, but I have a January birthday, so I'm looking ahead and acknowledging my past simultaneously. I assess where I want to be, areas of life to improve and lessons to keep in my back pocket. I've always been an extremely deep thinker, and music significantly marks and highlights different seasons on my life. Blind I is making some exciting changes this year and it's beginning with revamping the way we approach our compilations. I [...]
Tim Mason , another young gun that definitely deserves an honorable mention as a most anticipated artist of 2012. His banger of Winter 2011, ' The Moment ' had everyone thinking that Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia dropped a sequel to their hit, 'One' on New Years Eve at Roseland Ballroom. Until further explanations ensued, we all learned that this fine tune came from the young UK progressive house anthem producer, Tim Mason. His latest release that we've had our eyes on since October, ' Anima ' has been a major hit among EDM fans and included [...]

An R&B vocal band with a highly complicated history, The Moments (also known as Ray, Goodman & Brown) formed in Hackensack, New Jersey in the mid-60s, signed shortly after to Sylvia Robinson 's Stang label and had their breakthrough smash hit with Love on a Two-Way Street which hit #1 in 1970. In the mid-70s, they established themselves as masters of first class satin sheets soul, with Look at Me (I'm in Love) – being sexy motherfuckers long before the time when The Artist formerly known as Prince used the term for them Eighties chicks. In 1973, [...]

Rapidly becoming one of my favorite producers, George FitzGerald is prolific right now. His output of quality music in high quantities is almost scary. Although stepping away from his more dubstep rhythms I've grown accustomed to, FitzGerald has crafted some excellent sounds, to yet again topple his previous efforts. The straight house beat and melancholy tones combined with the vocal are exceptional. You should definitely check George's previous releases on HotFlush , notably his more recent Shackles EP which is a must have for any UK Bass/House/Dubstep/NEWGENREHER E fan. Out now on [...]
