As promised, herewith are a few more delights tracked down at the excellent Spin.com Artist of the Week site. I'm only posting a fraction of the great grooves Spin.com so generously makes available on an ongoing basis. Copenhagen's Figurines cut a fine figure, left. Oh, ho ho. Figurines - The Wonder mp3 HiSoft - Soft Rock mp3 The Adored [...]

Okay, I'm a bit skitterish about this one, so please bear with me. Back in early December, I went group-by-group, song-by-song through a long list of artists I found at the 2006 South-by-Southwest festival website . I sampled every song I didn't already know and prepared my own list of the ones I liked best, old friends and new. For various reasons totally uninteresting even to myself I've just never posted a big bloc of the songs, some of which are by some of my favorite current artists. Soooooo, I'm simply [...]

#10 - Psapp - The Only Thing I Ever Wanted ( Domino ) Sforzandoci tramendamente potremmo pensare agli Stereolab di "Dots and Loops". Ci diciamo però che non abbiamo soltanto ascoltato un disco e parlato con gente; ci sembra, in qualche modo, di essere tornati da un'altra dimensione. Mp3: Hi "THE ONLY THING I EVER WANTED" review on INDIE FOR BUNNIES [...]
Chad VanGaalen is a songwriter of the prolific variety. He's not quite at Ryan Adams' level of output, but the man writes songs like it's his only mission in life. Legend has it, he had literally hundreds of songs to work with when putting together his latest outing, Skelliconnection. Unlike Ryan Adams, he knows better not to release everything he writes. Chad VanGaalen - Graveyard.mp3 "Disciples of California" is the title track off of the bands fifth full length release due [...]

It's official. The creme stand in Montpelier is closing for the season. Sunday is the last day. For me, that signals the end of the summer. Going down there after dinner with the kids is a fun trip during the summer. I know we can always go Ben & Jerry's in town but it isn't the same. The creme stand has that old time throwback feel to it and since it's so popular, you always run into somebody you know. That never happens at Ben & Jerry's for [...]

I am a huge fan of Brian Jonestown Massacre . The one thing I like about Anton Newcombe's work is he always stays the course, sticks to a certain sound that I think is great. Some people will fault him for that, but not me. Below are some excellent covers of his work. Some of these are done by Shoegazer bands which make them all the better. I hope you enjoy these and would like to hear what you think. Oh yeah, and by the way if you want the original version of [...]
We would like to introduce you to The Morning After Girls . When we kicked back, threw on the headphones, and listened to this artist we thought "Casting Closed for the DIG! Sequel" What did you think? Use a tag or comment to share your thoughts with everyone. Enjoy. Genre: Rock-Pop-Folk Label: Rainbow Quartz Source: aka::Raff Country: [...]
