I've always had a fascination with live music. I grew up listening to bands who cultivated their sound on stage. New songs evolved in the presence of a captivated audience. I collected live albums from my favourite bands. I hunted down rare recordings that showcased the evolution of songs I knew only from their studio versions. Geographic location limits me slightly from attending gigs other than arena tours that may pass my area. I've been to many. Mostly aged rockers playing the tunes I listened to in my younger days. They can be fun, but mainly I see [...]
Robotra - Morning Light The song: short and entertaining, the band: charmingly shy, the sound: perfect mix of noisy yet catchy. But how do you even play bass with mittens on?

We thought a nice addition to our new The Antics segment would be to send out some of their songs and videos. Recording it was hilarious. x" So come have a laugh as well, sing some cheeky lyrics and rock out to The Antics' stellar track Got Skills ! The Antics Member Profiles [...]
If You Want It (Come Get It) w/ The Antics Do you like music? I used to. Biggest douchebag alive? That posh spaz who does the Ty-Phoo tea bag advert. Ben Fogle, what’s he even famous for anyway? Favourite icon? I’m a bit of a mod at heart so I have to say Weller; he still looks cool as fuck and he wrote so many great tunes, [...]
If You Want It (Come Get It) w/ The Antics Do you like music? I live for music. Biggest douchebag alive? The bloke who wears the ridiculous hats and clothes who presents the horse racing. He was also in celebrity Big Brother. He's a proper tool. Favourite icon? It's so gotta be Noel Gallagher. The geeza is an absolute legend and I wouldn’t be in a [...]

They reach out to us again and again, and they never seem to disappoint. Here is more Mirror City for the people, and this track is titled Morning Light . Mirror City - "Somewhere in the city...The night is fading to day as you push open the fire escape and emerge on the rooftops. The city lay ahead of you as far as the eye can see. The morning light catches the steel and glass of the sleeping metropolis and in that momentary glint it becomes clear. You know what has to be done"...Check it [...]

"This may come as a surprise to many & has been an issue of much thought for me. My decision was not easy to make. I am leaving Girls. My reasons at this time are personal. I need to do this in order to progress. I will continue to write & record music. More will be announced soon. I thank you all for everything." I think it's safe to say that every follower of Christopher Owens' personal Twitter account had their heart broken when they scrolled down their home page on 2 [...]
Christopher Owens officially quit Girls . I’m not a huge fan of the band — their last record in particular — but they did manage to make this incredible noise-pop jam a few years back, and it’s the best thing they’ve ever put on tape. Watch “Morning Light” above. “Dear all, This may come as a surprise to many & has been an issue of much thought for me. My decision was not easy to make. I am leaving Girls. My reasons at this time are personal. I need to [...]

Stephen Farris does it again, and again, and again… If you took every single track that Farris has unleashed onto the internet, cut each one into tenths, then glued them together again you’d get the soundtrack to time travel, I’m sure of it.
Disco beats, laidback vocals and a diffused groovy feeling is what characterizes Mitzi, who have recently released their debut "All I Heard" EP on Sydney based label Future Classic. Now they are releasing another 12" called "Vinyl Versions", which features remixes on "Morning Light" and "India" by French electro godfather Joakim, Sydney Softwar, and two [...]
