Brooklyn quintet, I Am The Avalanche were over last week, pimping their second album, Avalanche United. It had been five years since former Movielife man, Vinnie Caruana had made it over to these shores so we popped down to catch some punk rock goodness. Six things we learned when we saw I Am The Avalanche in Camden: 1) Much like their contemporaries Great Cynics , tonight's openers Apologies, I Have None [...]

The venue was packed with a diverse group of fans for the solo touring artists Brandon Reilly of Nightmare of You and Vinne Caruana of the Movielife. Suzie Zeldin, the first act and the lead singer of the Narrative, really blew the crowd away with her sweet melodies. The crowd was a little over excited, but the artists took it in with a good laugh. The room became unified towards the end of the show as there were plenty of sing a longs and stories that were shared from the artists. If you can, I would try to catch these [...]

AKoustic Mondays are hitting it big at Angels and Kings and this night was no exception.
Song: Time Is Now Artist: The Godfathers Album: Orange Comments: "I'm Your Busy Man"... The opening of this song sounds an awful lot like Jeff "Monoman" Connelly's DMZ classic-- "Busy Man". What's interesting about this song though is that the main part of the song almost sounds like a Murphy's Law song. Just can't place that one. Song: Mersey Beach Artist: Jumbo Shrimp Album: Thingie Comments: Jello- Lard, No Means No, The Melvins, and a spoken word career. [...]

The past couple of days have been extremely difficult for the music industry. It's long been determined that the music business can change faster than Britney's choice of which rehab center she'll occupy. Bands break-up and form everyday, comparable to the "real world" where people consistently die and give birth. True in both realms of life are the impacts of certain deaths; repercussions for the demise of [...]
