Click here to view the embedded video. Beaker wants to perform "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas, but the typical comments from YouTube makes it rather difficult to concentrate. Again, the real story here is, how revitalized The Muppets seem working in online shorts. They've had about four or five solid shorts over the span of a year. If I were an entertainment journalist, I would certainly be pitching the behind-the-scenes creative juice at the Jim Henson Workshop story to my editors. [via here / here / here ]

YouTube user iamhydrogeno2 has assembled an awesome collection of Muppet band Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem covering a TON of Phish songs, including Cavern, Llama, and Birds of a Feather. Not only that, but he's got more videos, including Jim Henson's Muppet Band, and Count von Count from Sesame Street singing Scents and Subtle Sounds. The muppets have had a come-back of sorts the past 6 months thanks to You-Tube. Really, if you haven't subscribed or checked out these videos, run on over there and spend some minutes with these shorts. Great time wasters. However, The Muppets of old are still totally worth revisiting-especially for those of us who were either not born or only a few years old when the show went off the air. Here's another great one that even ranks above Mah-nah mah-nah for some.
