There was a bit of scuttling at the Birmingham Babyshambles show on Sunday; support band the Noisettes lashed out when Doherty crashed their set: After the show guitarist Dan Smith blasted Doherty via Myspace saying: “I'd just like to say, Pete, what the fuck were you doing coming out onstage while we were setting up to play? Are you really that much of an egomaniac or did you want to actually sabotage our show?†A little while later, an apology appeared, perhaps when the Noisettes remembered their position in the pecking [...]

The crime associated with hard drugs is mostly a consequence of criminalization. [Q: so should we go after the people who make cigarettes?] If the principle is, let's not get [...]

Case in point, an email about the band The You - a group from Pittsburgh whose debut album was produced by Brian Deck (Modest Mouse and Iron & Wine). I actually really liked the song we were sent but just never got around to posting it. Well today is my day to get around to things. You can download 'I'm going to [...]
The Noisettes are still kicking around and are looking at an expected date sometime late September for the band's as-of-yet untitled full length album. I'm looking forward to it as the band continues to impress me with its darker, bluesy garage: The Noisettes "Scratch Your Name"Â
