So it's very rare when i get worked up about a track and how smooth it is. Last time i was this impressed was when i heard XXYYXX's About you. Such lush and creamy synths, the chord progressions play in the pain spoken in the Mary J. Blige lyrics. An amazing remix you should download and keep an eye out for our friends Haez and Spaceman Unlimited . Enjoy!
Groundin’ ‘n’ poundin’ with as much knockout velocity as the UFC, Austria’s Dead Battery throws in a special count of four low round kicks to the ribs (free downloads) and another nine guillotine neck cranks (which are not free) that score a first round victory after three minutes and a half. Dead Battery scores a flawless victory. Check out our previous article with Dead Battery. ZEDD feat. FOXES - Clarity (Dead Battery Remix) **FREE DOWNLOAD** [...]

People are quick to judge Snoop Dogg's new, Rastafari-influenced music, but they're even quicker to forget that his breakthrough record was about killing undercover cops. He rolled with the Dogg Pound, flaunted his blue flags, and once was signed to the most infamous label in music alongside fellow stars Dr. Dre and Tupac. But, in many ways, Snoop grew to become the antithesis of it all, including Pac. Where Makaveli was the fiery, passionate personality who threw himself head first into situations, Snoop kept himself away from beef and controversy, especially after he narrowly managed [...]

It's still early in the week and let's be honest, Tuesday feels like a Monday Hangover, a Monday #2 essentially. The only that gets me through the beginning of the week are badass remixes, slash mashups. Wouldn't you know it? That's exactly what we have here. Another note to note, most really good remixes or mashups have Notorious involved.... coincidence? I think not. Welcome to the Everyday Struggle . This remix/mashup is by Dead Battery , and most of his other stuff goes a little harder than this ballad. Normally he dables in [...]
I'm usually slightly skeptical of remixes of any Notorious B.I.G. remixes, but Austrian producer Dead Battery did a solid job on the classic "Everyday Struggle." On his version he leaves the powerful lyrics and flow from the master emcee, but spins it with some heavy bass and a new piano arrangement. If you are looking for a new party song or something to add to a mix, then this would probably be a good choice. Stream and download below. Fresh? Tweet

Still rollin’ electronically strong, Wet Paints’ ‘Whenever, Really’ walks a tightrope of ethereal crunchy bass and crazed-out Plastikman madness. Never failing to lose its balance over the pitfall of shocking pop, fly-by-nights and 5 minute wonders.. the duo known as Wet Paint glide through an ambience of space, percussion and chimes. Montréal, Quebec, Canada should be filled full of pride. * * * *

FINALS. By the time you read this, I'll be in my last final. And as of that, I'll be halfway done with college-whoa. So on the last two years, I've gotten pretty good at the post-finals triumphant jams. It's pretty pop-heavy, but I think a good collegiate celebration playlist should include some booty shaking. We start and end with Biggie, because he always seems to do the triumphant vibe so well. While Biggie begins the party (and bullshit) with his tales of honeys and hard life, Miley Cyrus chimes in with her own catchy requests to get the [...]
Enigmatically gifted to make the ridiculous seem extremely achievable, Flight Facilities ’ work ethic of opposites-attracts and thoroughly thought out mix specials push this Caribbean-keeno duo onto the upper echelons of greatness and classic / present-day reminiscing of the utmost extremes. You have been warned. ‘I Didn’t Believe’ is out now on Glassnote Entertainment / Future Classic. UPCOMING TOUR DATES 11 May 2013 - Perth, The Bakery 17 May 2013 - North QLD, Base [...]

Evan Nabavian sold more powder than Johnson and Johnson. Inviting your friends over to remix Biggie songs is a really dumb idea unless you're DJ House Shoes and your friends are today's eminent left field rap producers. Shoes sent Biggie Smalls acapellas to his buddies and came back with a pack of experimental remixes, a few of which sidestep the usual pitfalls of remaking classic records to great effect. First, the pitfalls. Blends and mashups of classic records are destined to fail because it doesn't make sense to “update” a song [...]

Yes, this Saturday is 4/20, but if you can detach yourself from the bucket bong, it's also Record Store Day. The annual celebration of independent record stores has grown into quite an industry, and as ever, there's a heap of awesome-looking releases to trawl through once you've fought your way through the crowds and thrown enough judicious elbows to make your ways to the crates of vinyl — so much so, in fact, that the selection can be somewhat overwhelming. Never fear, though, because we've sifted through the list of this year's RSD exclusives to [...]

Max Bell always preferred Allen Iverson. Today marks the re-release of Shaquille O'Neal's rookie-season Reeboks shoes, The Shaq Attaq . If I had some disposable income—$160, plus tax—I'd be outside of Footlocker with my lawn chair and G-Pen like all of the other sneaker heads. Instead, I've settled for DJ Goulet's ( that one ) commemorative Shaq Attaq mix, which showcases some of Shaq's best bars from his rap career. It's better than it sounds. After listening to all 21 minutes of the mix—complete with drops of Nas saying "like Shaquille, as well as a [...]

Flight Facilities keep on publishing songs from their Triple J mix, with this bootleg, from the mix covering 1992 to 2002 . They used 3 tracks for it: Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity", Notorious BIG's "Hypnotize" and The Fugees" Killing Me Softly" (for the drums). The result is really good, and is downloadable for free. They will reveal the last mixtape from this series this month, as well as a new song... Exciting! Do you like it? If so, follow our Facebook page to keep up to date with our newest posts!

The anticipation for the next Flight Facilities Triple J Mix is unbearable, and to tease us, the sample kings have released a bootleg straight from their latest 1992-2002 mix. Anything with Notorious BIG is certified gold, and when paired with Jamiroquai 's electro-funk, you have yourself the whole mine. Flight Facilities has successfully fused the iconic rapping of Biggie's "Hypnotize" and the melody in "Virtual Insanity" by Jamiroquai, all to artfully capture one year in musical time: 1996. Listen close enough and you'll notice the drumwork from the Fugees ' "Killing Me [...]
