With a release date of October 26, The Octopus Project 's new album, Hexadecagon , is just around the corner...finally (you may remember that they first dropped hints about it back in February), and to coincide with the record's release, the band are heading off on tour. Austin-based experimental pop band The Octopus Project is set to release their new album, Hexadecagon , on October 26th through Peek-A-Boo Records. The album didn't actually start as an album (still with me?). Hexadecagon was first unveiled as a live performance project. While driving from one venue to another on tour, the band listened to minimalist composers Terry Riley and Steve Reich.
