The trio once again shows how talented they are with their display of original material as well as unique covers of artists such as Kanye and Odd Future. I can't wait until they finally do a US tour when they get a bit more of a following; they definitely will be a solid live show. Badbadnotgood has released yet another video featuring Tyler the Creator to go along with others they have put out. This time covering "Orange Juice", which originally featured Earl, the Jazz trio gives what many were hoping for out of their meeting with Tyler, a live jazz rendition of "Orange Juice". Anyone who is a fan of Odd Future undoubtedly loves this track and to finally get a live jazz version featuring the always entertaining Tyler on the mic is just pure excellence. Jazz trio, BADBADNOTGOOD, who is best known for it's jazz renditions of Tyler, the Creator tracks ( check them here ), put out a new set of jazz reworkings today entirely to MF DOOM production. Tyler the Creator met up with the guys of Badbadnotgood while Odd Future made their tour stop in Toronto and put together this live video of "Seven" off of "Bastard". Apparently there are more songs recorded but for now this is the first one out. I hope the guys of badbadnotgood weren't expecting too much seriousness from Tyler during their jam session but I have to say at least they got a bit out of it and a hilarious ending to accompany everything. BADBADNOTGOOD, also known as the Odd Trio, put out an album for free through their bandcamp page a few days ago. If you know them from their Goblin or other Tyler, the Creator covers you know these guys shred on their instruments, in the Jazz sense that is. Every song is an interesting listen on this album, these guys are creative with each cover making an entirely new experience on songs such as "Fall in Love" by Slum Village or Tyler, the Creator's "Bastard". It's definitely worth the download and the listen, these guys need to start doing some shows [...]
I know these bits from BADBADNOTGOOD are a little old at this point but i realized I never posted these newish songs from them up. The video above features a video of them performing "Camel" by Flying lotus which is a fantastic piece by these guys. The Odd Trio is a group of kids equipped with a piano, a drum set, and a bass guitar that make the most swagged out covers of Odd Future music I have heard yet. The group, which consists of Matt Tavares on the piano, Alex Sowinski on drums, and Chester Hansen on bass, takes three Odd Future songs "Bastard", "Assmilk", and "Orange Juice" and uses them as a base in order to create their own unique and very impressive jazz versions.
