Pretty old news by now seeing as it was first uploaded well over a year ago but this track/video/rap/monologue by Kool A.D. (formerly of Das Racist fame) deserves some serious appreciation. Unbelievably it currently has just 42,000 views on Youtube meaning that most Kool A.D. and Das Racist fans haven't even heard it yet. Why have I waited till now to post it? Hot out of London is this lovely new group, Cloud Boat . Their first song, "Youthern" features an awesome choral intro. You have to be in the right mood for it, but if you are... it's pretty great. I look forward to hearing Cloud Boat's album when it comes out on May 28th.

Broderick & Broderick 's self-titled record is full of warm, gorgeous instrumentals and an absolutely lovely vocal track. It takes you on a journey full of tenderness and serenity. A must if you enjoy exceptional piano. This recording is some 30+ years old, which is early in Keith Jarrett's career. Although, it is after Jarrett decided the digital world wasn't for him. After a short gig with Miles Davis on the electric keyboard, Jarrett swore he'd never play anything that had a plug.  Rumor has it that this piano at Köln was damaged and that Jarrett was ill, but you’d never know it by listening. Sometimes I really enjoy Lana Del Rey . Other times, I'm not so enthused. On that spectrum, this release from Lana for The Great Gatsby's soundtrack sits on the proudly on the enjoyable side.
