Paper Crush is full of soaring synths, hushed tones, and melodic fuzz-filled guitars. Which lovers of shoegaze and electro-dream pop will find is right up their alley.

ok. Super short post. Although I do like the cold and the winter, this track feels so bloody summery. The Pains of Being Pure At Heart had a bit of a fave album a year or so back. Still can do no wrong! The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Tomorrow Dies Today

From the latest Pains of Being Pure at Heart single, "the Body," here's "Tomorrow Dies Today." The track is a b-side in the truest sense, sounding much different than the string of songs the band laid out on its new album, Belong . The production is a lot thinner, and intentionally so. A brittle guitar strums rhythm against some punchy drums, which lays a foundation for the same bring of pop bliss these guys lace into nearly every one of their songs. Stream the track above, and see the art below. [...]

After the 2011 release of Belong , The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart had showcased their talent's of making solid Summer Pop tunes. Although it's hard to believe "Tomorrow Dies" didn't make the cut for Belong , that's the magic of B-Side's still being around. "Tomorrow Dies" mixes wistful lyrics and cheery strummed guitars that eventually lead up to one fuzz filled, kick ass ending. Leaving you nodding your head and craving more, "Tomorrow Dies" is a simple reminder of why TPOBPAH is such an awesome band. Stream [...]

Here's a new track from New York indie poppers The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. 'Tomorrow Dies Today' is a warm blanket of a song, inducing a happy, comfortable closeness, and enforcing much swaying to the chunky guitars and pop simplicity.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars A few years back, when all of your favorite bands were releasing their debut albums, so was Brilliant Colors . Except whereas other bands from Slumberland Records , The Pains of Being Pure at Heart , were getting their jump to the buzzband title, this band remained relatively unknown. They put out their first release, Introducing, and while receiving decent reviews, it failed to make the same jump to popularity as the other bands of the time. Now, [...]

In an album so laden with glorious summer pop tunes like The Pains of Being Pure At Heart's Belong it's unsurprising that there are some more gems of nearly-or-just-as-good quality that had to be cut. Fortunately that's what b-sides are for, and seeing as Pains are releasing "The Body" as a single ( video here ) we get to hear on of them. "Tomorrow Dies" is built around a strummed guitar and some nice jangly bits over the top, before exploding into some fuzz for the final chorus. Check it out below.
The new single by the Pains of Being Pure at Heart is "The Body" from Belong , which is backed by the new track "Tomorrow Dies Today." This song fits into the overall theme of that record, with the band's core indie-pop sound toughened up a little but still containing that wistful feel that all the best Pains songs bear. The mini guitar solo in the final third almost rocks out until it's swamped by a bank of acoustic thrumming. If the group keeps evolving at this pace we can expect a full-on conversion to AC/DC-style excesses by the [...]
