I fixed my tail light. It was a simple matter of checking the fuses, noting that the 8A fuse was blown, and swapping it out. Still having issues with the front indicator and running light, but thanks to the good folk at BMW 2002 FAQ, I should have it figured out in the near future. On to the show. Tonight's show was all about current favorites. I played a few tracks discovered within the last week, and several that have been in heavy rotation on my personal playlist of late. [...]

Why is it that the older you get the more old music you buy? Probably because as you get older you start to realize how little you know about music. Here's to all the labels that do the crate digging for you, because there is no way in hell you could have found all of this stuff on your own. Here are the top 15 reissues that I crossed paths with this year. 1. El Rego - El Rego ( Daptone ) I was vaguely familiar [...]

![DOG & PANTHER TEASE THEIR NEXT RELEASE [VIDEO]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3847070_lg.jpg)
In an effort to promote their 2010 LP, What Happened , the Michigan-based group Dog & Panther released a series of gorgeous, intriguing video teasers that involved, among other things, super slow-motion and blood. The gang is at it again with the same artistic style to promote their next release, which seems will be hitting the web in 2012. Watch both the new (top) and old teasers below.
Sidney's Step-Panther are precisely the dudes with whom I would like to hang out for a while. To be honest, blogger are really lame. All day long they sit in hip cafes and make fun of hipster guys and point to fuckable and unfuckable chicks. Furthermore I'm not interested in talking high-classy shit about music, books and fashion and all that boring stuff. I just want to grab my bike, meet my boys and get it on like real boys. And that's exactly what Step-Panther are doing in their new video for " My Neck ". Straightforward 902s [...]
Editors Note: Yes, I realize how ridiculous it is to post a Best Albums of 2010 writeup in August of 2011. I thought I had finished this long ago, but turns out it was sitting in my draft queue gathering dust. Any other post I would have thrown away, but I love to look back years from now on how silly my taste was at the time. So here it is in all its glory. Happy New Year everyone, ...

Archy Marshall, who previously operated under the Zoo Kid moniker, now records as King Krule . He'll release a self titled EP under the name on November 8 via True Panther. That's the album art above. You can check out the EP's last track, "The Noose of Jah City," along with the tracklist below. King Krule has a few international dates coming up including some CMJ shows, which will also act as his US debut. He's scheduled to play the True Panther showcase at [...]

Leave it to KCRW to present a true line-up of SoCal's finest for local music lovers. LA's own Fool's Gold headlined the bill with a passionate, eclectic set of worldly jams for a grown to capacity crowd at the world famous Troubadour last Thursday night September 29, 2011. Allah-Las opened the eve with their blend of rock revivalist west coast pop. The Los Angeles based band mixed various percussion and instrumental duties among themselves as they embraced everyones favorite breezy surf sound, but with a proper twang nodding to the likes of early guitar rock and roll [...]
Welcome to Monday Threesome, where we bring you a delectable grouping of music for your weekly fix. This round. we're trafficking in some achingly pretty indie pop music. These honey-voiced tenors will match the melancholy that Fall tends to stir in all of us. Have you heard of these guys? They are definitely going to be a thing! All kidding aside, this band has been putting out reliably lovely music for an impressively long time, and their last several albums have been severely underrated. My personal favorite piece of free music [...]

The latest single from South Australians, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! shows how much the band has been honing their sound since their debut release in 2010, titled 'Sea Priest'. Their sophomore album has seen the band work with UK producer Gareth Parton (Foals, The Go! Team, Holy Fuck) along-with Nilesh Patel (Björk, Air, The xx), so its fair to say its going to be a well crafted record. Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! have played some pretty big shows lately, they are supporting Eskimo Joe tonight and have [...]
An electro taste of things to come.

SF's Wet Illustrated kicked off our Noise Pop Happy Hour earlier this year with a ridiculously fun set of from-the-garage art-pop. "Satellite Kids" comes from the band's upcoming debut LP on True Panther , and arrives in a video directed by drummer/vocalist Robbie Simon. 1x1x1 is out on October 25th. Related Posts: Saturday: free YesYesYes Magazine show with Terry Malts and Wet Illustrated [...]
TRASH TALK ANNOUNCES NEW 73 EP, AWAKE, DUE 10/11 ON TRUE PANTHER WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR "AWAKE" Forwards ever, backwards never. In a perfect world, those four words would tell you everything you need to know about Sacramento thrash-punk juggernaut Trash Talk. But in a perfect world, these four furious scions of guitar-wrought destruction wouldn't exist. Lee, Garrett, Spencer and Sam are fueled by our ugly, and they give it back in spades. The Trash Talk live grind is a notorious thing - an anarchic, energetic and often painful paean to otherwise oppressed angst that's [...]

Two years after his audacious debut LP, this Scottish electronic music visionary shows he can still wed experimental flights of fancy and pop-R&B glossiness with an unassuming, unbridled joy. The debut Hudson Mohawke LP Butter was one of the most audaciously brilliant albums of 2009, and we've been waiting to see what the next move of its architect, Ross Birchard, would be. Finally ready for the world, the daftly-titled Satin Panthers builds upon on the promise of previous Mohawke offerings. Birchard crams each cut with crate-loads of ideas, wasting not a moment of the limited running time on this [...]

As a New Englander, we get a bit jaded around here. I find it really hard to take overblown (get it?) prognostications of foul weather very seriously. I distinctly remember one time it cost me dearly though. I was working in Framingham, MA and there was a big snowstorm in the offing. Why I went to the office that day I'll never know, but I think I was scheduled to have lunch with a friend of mine if memory serves. There was some kind of announcement at work and the office was closed by 11 AM. Everybody was scampering [...]

Tweet Buy the Album on Amazon: Vinyl / CD If you've been trapped under a rock for the past 5 or so years (or at least had your internet disconnected) and suddenly feel an inkling to sample everything you've been missing in electronic dance music, Hudson Mohawke's new "Satin Panthers EP" would be a great place to start. The 25-year old Glasgow beatsmith's compositions pack in the sub-bass depth charges of dubstep and future [...]
