Arktip has curated a phenomenal collaboration between Pendleton Woolen Mills and Dutch artist, Parra. Artktip is curating a series of art based designs for Pendleton of which the Parra option immediately caught our eye. The youthful design combines Parra's colourful style with Pendleton's history and quality. The throw is Made in USA and limited to 125 pieces. "Being a fan of the issues and artists that Arkitip published before ever collaborating with them, I could always appreciate how they match artists to top quality products. Now after working with them for many years in various ways, this Pendleton [...]
Shwood for Pendleton |♢| Cascadian Collaborative from Shwood Eyewear on Vimeo . "For Autumn/Winter 2011, Shwood has joined forces with fellow Oregon-based company Pendleton Woolen Mills on a limited run of Shwood's "Canby" frame style. Crafted from Oregon-grown Cherry wood, the frames feature laser engraved temples adorned with Pendleton's iconic "Chief Joseph" pattern. Taking the collaboration a step further, Pendleton manufactured a matching carrying pouch woven from a limited batch of wool, exclusive to the project. With both parties dedicated to domestic manufacturing, the project pays tribute to the state [...]

We originally introduced you all to this dope joint from NYC hip-hop savant Theophilus London last November . "Flying Overseas" feels just as fresh and new as it did when we first heard it and has quickly become a summer time staple. From the art direction and effect overlays down to Theo's Opening Ceremony x Pendleton threads, the accompanying video is on point in every regard.

Pendleton is one of the few great brands that has done things well for a long time and still manages to stay relevant. To be more specific, they trace their roots as far back as 1863 and in regards to relevance, they've put together collaborations with Opening Ceremony, Levis, Timberland, Nike, and Comme Des Garcons. Our latest Pendleton find is the Comanche Robe, which seems like a great edition to any home in addition to one's matching Pendleton blanket and button-ups. The robe is made of 100% virgin wool and comes in a handful of pattern options including [...]

We saw this weekender bag from Pendleton drop last season and we were pretty excited about it. Soon after the release it seemed to disappear from the shelves of our favourite retailers. There's good news - the bag is now available for the new season at the Opening Ceremony Online Shop . The bag looks great with it's classic Pendleton pattern in virgin wool combined with a full grain leather trim. You can also grab it in an alternate colourway . More views ahead.

Remember those big, wool jackets the jocks wore in high school... the ones the cheerleaders proudly wore when they were "going steady" with the quarterback... okay maybe that wasn't so much during our time. If you didn't have one, either because you wouldn't be caught dead dating a quarterback, or never made it to Varsity, don't you sort of wish you did?

...In 1895 the mill was enlarged and converted into a textile mill and in 1896 began making Indian blankets—geometric patterned robes (unfringed blankets) for Indian men and shawls (fringed blankets) for Indian women in the area—the Umatilla , Cayuse and Walla Walla tribes. That business eventually failed and the plant stood idle until it was purchased by the Bishop family. When the Bishop family took over the plant they built a new plant with the assistance of the town of Pendleton, which issued [...]

here are a couple songs obsessively listened to recently & which helped me get from one side of the country to the other and then back again. a special thanks to the pendletons and "sad songs" for playing loud enough to (mostly) obscure the fifteen-month old & mostly displeased dervish seated beside me this morning. you can pick up their debut album oh, me! here . the lightning bug situation - message to myself after franny was born r.e.m. - strange currencies two [...]

I watched the new Oasis tour documentary Lord Don't Slow Me Down on Saturday night, and I was thoroughly entertained beyond what I had anticipated. It's a look at a band that seemed unstoppable in the cocky cocaine madness of '95-'96 (years which Noel admits he doesn't remember. At all.) now doing the unthinkable and growing up a bit. Stable girlfriends, kids, and years of living the rock n roll lifestyle seem to have muted the Gallagher brothers just a tad (even though they are still devastatingly funny to watch, and pull off an epically [...]

What is it with Athens, Georgia? Is there something in the water that breeds indie rock bands. The Pendletons are yet another example of four University students starting a band and coming up with enough songs to release a full length called Oh, Me! , an album that sings and swings like the night is never going to end. The Pendletons : Ben DuPriest: drums Matt Giordano: bass Colin Moorhead: guitar Adam Saunders: vocals Oh, Me! is [...]
