by teepoo I just noticed I haven't posted anything from Ottawa duo The Peptides yet. Their sounds are pretty eccentric duo with broadway-esque tracks. They share 9 tracks from their album For Those Who Hate on their Official Website . The tracks are named after the things that we all secretly loathe, like waking up in the morning. Oh how I lack sleep. The Peptides- For Those Who Hate Each Other MYSPACE | WEBSITE
Happy third birthday Cover Me! Eleven brand-new covers to help us celebrate!

And though we're not usually the bandwagon types, it's hard to ignore the way the Lennon story has come to define both the end of a social era, and the sad coda to the Beatles' breakup - and the impact his songs and spirit have had on music, both in [...]

The gel or thin film contains a peptide known as MSH, or melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Previous experiments, reported in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, showed that MSH encourages bone regeneration. Bone and teeth are fairly similar, so the French scientists reasoned that if the MSH were applied to teeth, it should help healing as well. To test their theory, the French scientists applied either a film or gel, both of which contained MSH, to cavity-filled mice teeth. After about one month, the cavities [...]

It starts with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Goodnight Moon, and before you know it, you're out in the yard long after bedtime, the winter cold against your upturned nose, holding hands with Daddy and tracking yellow-red Mars through the trees on a clear and moonless night. From there, looking up into the dark for more than a moment is never done without soulsearching. Summers, we lie on our backs in the folk festival fields to watch the meteor showers, and wonder at how brief the light, and how hot the distant [...]
