The Phenomenal Handclap Band – The Unknown Faces At Father James Park (ElI Escobar Remix) [Stoney Premier] Eli Escobar, perhaps New York City's most reputable disco Disc Jockey (after of course James Murphy and along with Jacques Renault)  has lent his touch to this funky number by The Phenomenal Handclap Band. The innovative result slickly borders between disco and deep house and is another ace on Escobar's stellar resume. As both Nu Disco and Deep House continue to get/feel played out, numbers like these provide a welcome balancing act. There's also nice Italo Disco moment in here that would make Fellini giggle, as well. Album out July 8th.
